How to Make Solid and Liquid Castile Soap Paperback – March 4, 2013

I was very, very disappointed by this book. First, it does not tell how to make real liquid Castile soap using potassium hydroxide. Instead, it simply tells how to mix bar soap with water to use as a liquid soap! There is very big difference between real liquid Castile soap and bar soap mixed with water. The real liquid soap can be used as a beautiful shampoo. Second, the instructions provided for making bar soap were elementary and were not nearly as good as those available from many free web sites. All around this is a very disappointing book and not worth the money.

I bought this book because it is "how to make solid and liquid Castile soap. I already knew I could grate a soap bar and add water to create liquid soap. I was expecting to learn how to make liquid 100% olive oil soap from scratch. Soooo disappointed. I accidentally bought 2 copies which makes me twice as disappointed!! Will certainly not ever fall for this one again.

Don't bother buying this one - you can get the same castille soap recipe online (olive oil, lye, water). She gives some basic information about essential oils, but the VAST majority of the "pages" are advertisements for her other offerings.

I found this book useful, I love making pure castile soap, it is soap in it's purest form. And is so cleansing.

I purchased this booklet with the idea that I would have a number of recipes to make soap at home. However, it's one basic recipe repeated throughout the entire book, with each one only changing one added ingredient, such as an essential oil. You can get the basic recipe online. I am very disappointed, having thought I was getting more useful tips and insight, as well as more ideas for different types of soap.Do not purchase. So not worth your money! I had to add one star to this review or else the review doesn't work. However, it doesn't even deserve that!
