Logical and level headed guide to disaster preparing
This book sounds like a paranoid’s dream but it is a surprisingly logical and smart look at preparing for disasters. In a time where people actually believe a zombie apocalypse possible, this book remains seriously focused on how to prepare for potential natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes. It does not preach or go too far over the top in tone; in fact, the book’s tips make sense. It also maintains a humanitarian viewpoint encouraging readers to be prepared to help others and not just themselves providing info on keeping families and even pets safe and healthy (one of the most interesting chapters discusses why pets are important to keep alive during a crisis). The guide wisely advises what to do if one must leave their home or stay safely sheltered. Much of what is discussed is common sense such as keeping a change of underwear handy while other suggestions may not immediately come to mind such as keeping money in small denominations because you might not be able to get change. The bulk of the work is split into sections dealing with such topics as water, food, first aid, hygiene, light, automobiles, etc. which are valuable. The guide is not just about what to buy and store either—the chapter on water, for example, talks about how to purify water not just stocking up. The book does briefly touch on protection but it refreshingly does not encourage the purchase of guns or weapons—the theme of helping others is firmly stuck to (the guide encourages learning first aid and becoming certified). One can also detect an occasional touch of humor such as mentioning that the toughest thing about stocking up on toilet tissue is not using it all up before a disaster strikes. While one can’t possibly to afford all the supplies or prepare for every procedure listed here, the book is still worth a look for its level-headed and mature approach to the subject matter.

Prepper Supplies
"Prepper Supplies" is the most comprehensive survival guide book I have ever read, it is really a survival bible. This book covers every detail of survival from food to shelter to pet care and first aide whether you are at home in your car at your workplace to public places. The writer starts the book off with stating preparedness enables you to be of help to others and by the end of the book one can see that point. This book covers everything needed to endure and survive almost any type of situation from storms and natural disasters to biochemical disasters. The very detailed instructions and item lists also include general price ranges and suggestions of where to get the items. The book also has an extensive chapter on food, it covers the right foods to buy for maximum nutrition and shelf life. They also suggest keeping a food and supply calendar to remind you to check your supplies and rotate the food products. They cover in detail how to store and handle water. It has an extensive first aid chapter. They also include important phone numbers in the end of the book, such as, the Red Cross, Poison Control and National Weather Bureau."Prepper Supplies" is filled with life saving strategies and planning, everyone should read this book. It is so comprehensive it would be best to always have a copy handy whether you live on the coast in the city or in a rural area because as they state in the beginning, "The more prepared you are, the better you can help others".

Ready for the zombie apocalypse!!
When I first saw this book advertised, I thought it would talk about camping preparation and supplies people would need. Once I saw that it was a "doomsday" preparation book, I was totally interested! This book has so many different ways of surviving almost any kind of catastrophe that could happen in these modern times. Important things like purifying water and how to prepare and store food, which is so important in an emergency. I thought it was interesting how they explain how to make an outside house in the event of a biological or chemical attack. With Syria having all of the chemical weapons they have stashed, I thought this was an important part of the book. They even go into detail about how fire is used as a tool in emergencies, not just to keep warm and to cook with, but as a tool. They give amazon references as to where you can buy the equipment that is needed to survive, like uco stormproof match kit with a waterproof box. Each of the matches are windproof and will burn underwater for fifteen minutes! I had never heard of this type of match until I read yesterday about them. I'm buying some so I can try them out and see if it's true. You should definitely try this book out if you're just quaintly interested in the possibility of you experiencing an emergency and want to survive. Great job on this one!

Great resource for supplies needed to survive most any disaster
Let’s be honest, how many of are ready for a disaster? Ok, maybe we have car emergency kits that we picked up at the sporting goods store or someone gave us, but do we know what’s in it? What about at home? First aid kit? Emergency supplies? What about our pets? Do we even know what we should buy? While many companies offer various emergency supply packs, some at ridiculous prices, they are not all created equal. The “Prepper Supplies and Survival Guide” is your one-stop resource on what to have on hand in the event of a disaster. The table of contents is broken up into broad sections (prep basics, water, food, shelter, first aid, power, sanitation, pets) and comprises breakdowns of the types of things to expect in an emergency situation (loss of utilities, water, unable to leave location) and provides lists of what to have on hand. And while you can buy the kits suggested, Novato Press also provides a breakdown of the contents so you can pull together your own safety kits. This easy to read and follow guide will help you keep your family safe during unplanned emergencies.

Useful
While I would not consider myself a prepper I have always kept a good supply of food etc at home. The pandemic has made me think more about what you need to survive, not from zombies or the like but power failure. I know that here in the UK that is extremely rare, but it might happen. This book gives you a good starting point to the things you might need.

Very US-focussed
The book is OK, but it is very US-focussed. In the UK, where I am based, it is of less use as it discusses preparing for natural disasters such as tornados and earthquakes which thankfully don't affect us. It also links to US products that are not available in UK.So unless you are US-based, I would avoid this book and look elsewhere.

Survival of the pocket and body
For the price, it's highly unlikely you will find a better-written book with better information contained. the book and the price are very practical and good sense, it's one of the 'must buys' for the starting to intermediate prepper, survivalist, long weekend camper or hiker
