I've been trying a considerable array of products to combat rosacea. This product feels great going on. Yes, it has a marked scent of coconut, which makes me reluctant to consider it for cooking. But as an oil for the face and hands, it's pretty sweet stuff. I'd been using rosehip oil and liked it, but had no real results. Likewise Eucerin Redness Reduction, though that's a good general-purpose cream. So far, what works is avoiding spicy foods, avoiding sunshine, and avoiding physically hot foods. One good feature of this product is you feel free to use it on face, hands, and hair. And might I add that if you're a supermodel--which of course I used to be until I turned to rocket science and number theory--you can add some to your morning coffee. That must be pretty rank, but if supermodels do it, shouldn't everybody?

Have mostly used this product as an overnight hair conditioner. After lots of coloring my hair was very dry. After one overnight treatment hair felt absolutely wonderful. Washes out easily with one shampoo. Did not like it on my skin. Nivea extended moisture lotion is far better on skin. I will continue to buy the coconut oil for my hair.

I purchased this based on others' reviews so it's only fair I post mine :) I have mild eczema and rosacea AND sensitive skin so I was cautiously hopeful about the benefits of Coconut Oil. I've used it for about 5 days now and have seen a noticeable difference in the suppleness of my skin and I haven't had any negative reactions (like itching and redness). I smear it on, face to toes, after my daily shower. I used it yesterday as a massage oil for my husband's aching and arthritic joints and he was very pleased too. It's not greasy or slimy, just a nice oil that doesn't make you smell like a coconut. Just a light natural scent that, in my experience, fades fairly quickly which is nice. My only warning is that if you want to use it on your hair, which I tried, you have to wash it out very thoroughly!! I accidentally put some on my hair yesterday after my shower (because it was still on my hands I guess) and I had to go get it washed at the nearest salon once I got to work. Luckily I needed a haircut anyway. I will continue to purchase this as it's a great value and I'm planning to try it in my baking and cooking too...but I'll have to get another jar first!

It came with a black film on the top, very greasy and the plastic safety sheet was broke.

When I was reading the reviews on here I was like "really folks, how good can it be?" Well I got my answer when I got my own bottle! It wasn't as full as I won't have liked, but I suppose there is a good reason for that. Anyways, I tried it on my hair (Afrian relaxed) and my hair went from dry to luxuriously soft, instantly. I just stared in the mirror and thought, "what socery is this?" My hair looks and feels amazing, and so healthy. Up next was my skin. I rubbed this from head to toe, and it didn't take a huge amount to do this. I wasn't too impressed immediately after doing this, but about 20 minutes later, my skin felt so soft and smooth. I'm gonna do this every night!All in all, excellent buy, and yes, the reviews are right! This is like a huge revelation. Now get out of the reviews section and click on buy already!

I won't be ordering from this company again. I use coconut oil on my skin daily. I wasn't able to go and get the product from the place where I normally purchase it. I ordered it from this company. I opened it last night and found half of one side missing . If you expect to get a whole container full you'll be just as surprised as I was to find only half of it missing. I'm out and really wanted to send this product back. I had to use it. I can't go without my coconut oil.This is my first review I ever wrote. I think other buyers should be aware your not getting what you pay for.

I have over processed hair and I wanted something to help the dryness. I am afraid to cut off my long hair so I thought I would try another method. I use the coconut oil every other day as an overnight hair mask. The first time I used it, I noticed my hair was less brittle and was a little more softer. With continued use, my hair looks and feels better then before. After these past couple months, Its is so much easier to brush my hair without having to worry about a bunch of my hair falling out.It also gives my hair a shine which is great since I work nights and rarely go out in the sun to get that natural light in my hair to make it shine. I would definitely recommend this product.
