Chicken Soup for the Soul: Loving Our Cats: Heartwarming and Humorous Stories about our Feline Family Members

I read I Can't Believe my Cat Did That, a Chicken Soup book, that I gave five stars because it warmed my heart and lifted my spirits. I was hoping that I would enjoy this one as much, but it was just a four-star one for me--some excellent stories, mind you, but didn't stir me as much as the other book. Also, I would have to warn cat lovers who are squeamish about reading of sick or injured cats. There are some very brave and wonderful cats in this book, but I didn't shed as many tears as I did with the other one. I tend to cry the most at stories about warm and loving cats, often the ones who do things that seem so out of character for cats--like learning to love another species, for instance, and I adore the stories about cats who are a great comfort to sick and dying people. There was one story in this book about a woman with migraines who overcame them through the love and warmth she received from her cat. It was one of my favorites in this book. I also enjoy funny stories about cats. It's harder to read about cats who were terribly burned in fires while rescuing their kittens or cats who develop serious illnesses or, even worse, have been abused. There are some amazing miracles in the book. I found, though, that it took me a while to get through the book and that I didn't look forward to reading it as much as I did when I read I Can't Believe My Cat Did That.

Chicken Soup books are always fun to read

I have read almost every one of these books that pertain to my life this arrived fast and it's as awesome as I expected. The book is not made of cheap material either I'll be able to keep it for a long time and share it with others

Loving this book!!! So many heartwarming stories for every cat lover!!! Each story not more than 2-3 pages, and all very uplifting!

Very cute book with heartwarming true stories. I don't generally buy these types of books (this is my first "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book) but have two Ragdolls and purchased the book on a whim. I read a couple of stories and go back to other books. It is convenient to have this book on your Kindle for that purpose alone.

The Chicken Soup books make me feel happy even if the stories are trumped up. Hey! Trumped up, get it? One needs to look at them with a clear brain. E.g. the story about the squirrel who insisted on bringing a thank you present for its nut treats? So squirrels become sentient in their old age? Still, I like the anthropomorphisms I have to confess.

Beautiful stories that make you feel good.

Makes we want to get another cat but three is enough

Wonderful Book. The stories are beautiful and will awaken the cat lover in everyone. It has everything, stories to make you smile, laugh and a few that will bring tears to your eyes. Left me with a new appreciation of cats and a longing to know some of the cats in this book. I haven't read any of the other Chicken Soup cats books but this one contains some stories that have featured in other volumes.Thoroughly recommended
