These are beautiful shoes. I had my heart set on a pair of Sebago's, but after a little research saw that Sperry's were the true originals. I absolutely love that founder, Paul Sperry, was inspired to make the nonslip soles by carving grooves in them after watching his dog run effortlessly on ice- and subsequently inspecting his paws to reveal his secret. As I have both a passion for dogs and the sea these are clearly the shoes for me. I would recommend to anyone. Incredibly comfortable- more so than my Chathams, classic style, good quality- and amazingly only £34 (I got lucky with the price reduction on my shoe size).

Shoes were exactly what we wanted but Amazon sent wrong size ie 9.5US instead of 9.5UK so fit was too small

Absolutely in love with my new Sperrys! They rubbed a bit at first but I read online that you just have to get them wet (since they're boat shoes) and wear them until they dry. I did just that and voila-no more rubbing! I could now walk for miles in these shoes and have received loads of compliments - I got the Sahara ones. I even ordered a pair for my sister for Christmas.

Very comfortable from the start. Normally I end up with blisters or sore bits when breaking in new shoes but these are great.....nothing at all! Sizing is spot on (order your normal size). I don't particularly find them narrow - I would say I have normal width feet and there is plenty room.

I kept these after a long search for boat shoes of this description but am beginning to wish I hadn't. When they arrived they did look as expected and fitted reasonably well but they are not turning out to be nearly as comfortable as I thought they would be. They have an 'unfinished' crude feel to the insides and the laces are very short for tying. Also there was nothing in the box about how to care for them so I have no idea what sort of polish to use. I just hope I get it right when they need cleaning!

These were a birthday present the person who received these cannot believe how comfortable they are and how attractive they look. She has now dumped a few shoes and will in future shop with Sperrys via Amazon. Great value can't be beaten.

I'm not entirely convinced by the quality of these shoes. Having bought a pair in America, and subsequently losing one to the dogs, I was keen to buy a new pair.As you can see from the photos, the stitching quality of these shoes falls down a lot compared to my American ones. They were also much softer 'leather' (too soft!) and very poorly manufactured. They're a different colour leather despite having the same product number under the tongue (again very poorly printed in these ones), and also different on the insole.Cannot and do not believe these are genuine so be careful!

Really pleased with these shoes, they are true to size,very comfortable & I didnt need to wear them in. Look classy & expensive, great with all styles of jeans, have also worn them with leggings -easy to slip on & go without having to fasten up.
