I bought these for my daughter to play with when her cousins come to stay. But honestly, we've used them more for ourselves. We walked the doggies to the park and used the walkies the whole way. It was fun for both of us. I love the multiple channels, so if someone else is also playing around, you don't end up bleeping each other on accident. I love the "flashlight" although it's more of a signal for when it's getting dark to make sure I can find her and so other's can see us walking on the sidewalk. It doesn't do a whole lot of actual lighting. I love the VOX option so it can be more like a baby monitor/kid room monitor to make sure there is no jumping on the beds, naughty words, or trouble going on, and I can call them to come to the living room or kitchen without yelling. Also, the neck strap is nice and has this really cool attachment to easily remove it from the neck strap for a shorter one, without having to re-thread it every time. They also have a compass, but we haven't used it so I don't know how it works or anything. Also, they are durable enough for a 4 year old girl, 6 year old boy, and 8 year old boy when being crazy and running around. They've been dropped, stepped on, flung around like a ninja nunchuck, all kinds of things, and they are still working just fine. I don't know about the 3 mile range thing because I wouldn't let my daughter get out of sight range, but across a park, they still worked great and clear, so that's what I need it for. I might by one more set just so they don't fight over them, but I wish they came in multiple colors so they could tell which is whose, or at least pink for girls, but she likes playing with it anyway.

Good solid product, they work ok. Deftly does not have a 3 mile capability. But they could range at least 1.5 miles, which is enough for my kids' "E-communication". very tricky, especially the compass, like snail horn. One of my satisfying part is about the flash light, working better than my imagination. Anyway. funny gifts for my kids.

These work better than my 10 mile range uniden or my 6 mile motorola.. go figure for a fraction of the cost.. our construction workers are gonna look funny when we buy them for work but they are doing a better job

We've had these for about a year. Brought them along on vacation & the kids used them occasionally around the yard. One was accidently dunked in a bucket of water for a hot second & still works perfectly. Good quality all around.Shortly after quarantine we gave one to the next-door neighbor & it works perfectly! Now we're living in an 80's movie.....

They are much smaller then I imagined. I do think that the boys I am giving them to are going to love the idea of talking to each other in various spots around the yard. Once in their hot little hands I will give an update as to how easy they are to use, sound, and durability.

These are cute in appearance and are attractive to kids or fun loving adults. I have not tested at the capacity distance, but the distances tried worked nicely, with good sound. They are easy to use. The flashlights are fun for night games. The exterior seems very durable.

The battery drains super fast. The volume doesn't get too low when trying to lower. We played a couple if times but sad that it is just sitting after changing batteries twice. Battery drained just the end of the 1st day playing. Wish we could charge the batteries.

I got these for my son’s 4th birthday and he LOVES them! They have a long range and are very clear. He loves the little flashlight on it too. He put one in my room and brought one to bed with him. I was sound asleep and all of the sudden I hear that walkie talkie “hi mommy.” Haha!
