Ballistic Tough Jacket Maxx Case with Holster Clip for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Retail Packaging - Black

This is my 3rd ballistic case in the past 2 years. the best case on the market, much better than otter case or any other cases out there. I personally dropped my phone from 6-8 feet on the concrete floor, dirt, asphalt and the commercial rubber case took all the impact. The phone simply bounces on hard surfaces and is also splashproof. Just avoid dropping it directly on the screen and you will be good. The screen protector is useless, as it limits visibility and reduces touch sensitivity. The case holder is made of good plastic, that feels durable and expensive. The case holder clip stays sturdy on the belt as well as without it. Sometimes, when I squat, the clip gets detached from the case holder, but it happens rarely, but when it happens, it is more and more difficult to attach it, and then it does not hold as good as before, which means that it is time for another one. I use my phone in extreme conditions every single day. For an average usage, it will last forever. In my case, I crawl, squat, bent over, wear tool-belt over it, take out phone form holster perhaps 200 times per day - this case withstands everything, but again, in my case it lasts approximately 8 months. Will definitely buy again

After 5 years of owning this case for my Note 4, I finally managed to break the clip on the holster. Hundreds of drops in that time. So, I went looking for a replacement and found it. I paid an extra $5 for expedited versus free shipping and my new case arrived 3 days early via USPS priority mail. New case is exactly as perfect as the original. Ballistic rocks. I use SUP cases for my tablets, and they are nowhere near as durable or user friendly. I substitute a glass screen protector for the ballistic version and all is well.

I loved the Tough Jacket Maxx I had for my HTC EVO 4G LTE. I wish the plastic outer shell would clamp the top and bottom of the case. This would solve most of my issues with the car, as the rubber on the bottom and top of the case pull away too easily. In terms of drop protection, I real don't think this case can be beat. The screen protector should also cover more of the top part of the screen. In terms of form factor, the case does do well. It's not as wide as an Otterbox Defender, but it does still added some weight. For the price I bought it at, I can't complain too much. Here soon, I will be also comparing this to the Trident Cyclops, and posting a review as well.

This is the second Ballistic case I've purchased. The first, in April 2013, was for my Samsung Infuse. I paired this with the Moshi iVisor screen protector. I didn't actually count, but I know I dropped that phone over 100 times. Several times it fell from about 5 feet (my shoulder while standing), bounced on the concrete porch, down 2 steps, and a couple more bounces on the sidewalk. Other times it just hit the pavement from that height. Most of the other drops were from waist height while I was in my wheelchair. I've even downloaded several "apps for cats" and they have pawed, clawed and bit the case in their excitement. There is absolutely NO DAMAGE on my old phone. No cracked screen, no dinged corners, no loose parts, nothing. Also, there was no water damage when I set it on a soaking wet countertop. Now, I've upgraded to a Samsung Note 4, and I am confident that this Ballistic case will be as awesome as my first.

Outstanding, I had one for my IPhone prior, and dropped it out of tree 55ft and 2 years of abuse it was great. Got some dirt under the screen. I have the same thing in this one. The screen cover does not cover entire screen so I would get a screen cover also. My only suggestion for Ballistic is have more tabs in order to seal the phone from weather more. My work takes me out into the mtns of Colorado, and storms can roll in quick. Overall I will still keep buying these over Otterbox bc I use to last about 3 weeks before I broke the Otterbox and these phones are to expensive to replace case every three weeks.

I give it 4 stars for protecting phone. I have dropped my phone hard a few times on blacktop from heights of 5 feet and phone was fine. The hard plastic screen protector that comes with case protects screen from impact but dust and dirt get between case screen and phone screen because of poor design. I added a regular screen protector to protect screen from dust and pop screen that came with case out every once in awhile to clean. I think it's worth the $20 to protect phone from drops but if you like things perfect then by a better case.

Wow. I actually hate a phone case. What a waste of $30. I'm going back to the Suppcase that took 4 drops before the internal plastic cracked. I don't trust this case. The silicone collects dust and likes to come off the sections that are not clamped by the plastic shell which only covers 3/4 of the case. The plastic is slippery. The screen protector is horrible. It is thick, but leaves the top portion of the phone exposed as well as an area around the home button. After 1 day, the screen protector developed a fog on the inside and a milky residue on the outside (I thoroughly cleaned the phone screen prior). I had to wash it in soap and water, which I think will have to be a daily chore. I also mistype more with the protector. If it's not perfectly clean it won't read your touch on the keyboard. The big silicone bumpers on all 4 corners are funky too. This is a lame case.

the overall product was good. However, the screen plate or protector does not adhere to the screen therefore allowing dust and dirt particles to enter between the two. The phone case is slightly flimsy which is what I was trying to get away from when I did not go with an Otterbox. The clip on the carrier is not stationary in the position it is placed in. It spins too easily.

Hard back-plate doesn't fit all the way on my Note4, however, .. I'm keeping this because of the corner foam. I will be eventually be throwing out the belt-clip unit and the phone's hard back plate. I haven't seen any other foam case with huge protective corners for my Note4, so I'll keep this, anyway.

True to its name, this product is tough, bulletproof.
