some design flaws
The idea is good to have a phone case that hangs the phone aroung the neck. I got it to do some touring and had some recorded guided tours on the phone I could listen to as the phone hung from my neck. So far so good except the slot to put the earphone jack through is so narrow that I had to take the phone out of the case to use my ear phones. I am sure some jacks fit thru the slot but pay attention to this. Also the exterior case is somewhat fragile and after removing the phone from it several times to use the earphones it broke! A few simple tweaks and this could be much better.

Have your phone handy all the time
I bought this for my mother who is in a wheel chair because she never had her phone with her as it was always in the other room. This way she can have it with her wherever she goes. I was worried that it wouldn't be sturdy and the phone would fall off, but the latch is very secure. Easy to get off the lanyard when needed, but very secure when in place. Now she always answers when I call and I don't have to worry.

cracked case
I really was excited this was just what I wanted , it works great. BUT I have had it less than a month and the one side of the case has cracked. I can still use it for now, but it is disappointing.

Missing two vital pieces
I ordered two iHangy with necklaces and received two iHangy without the necklaces. What the heck?

It would be much better with stronger materials
The item consists of two cases, one on the inside which is flexible and an outer shell that is a bit harder and a lanyard connected to the bottom of the case. The product offers reasonably good protection because of the two layers. It is also nice idea, solving the problem of a hanging lanyard for the iPhone 5 by having the lanyard attached to the case rather than to the phone. However, it has a couple of major weaknesses: (1) inserting the phone (with the soft case) on the hard shell is not easy. It requires doing it very slowly because the flexible shell gives in and doesn’t enter smoothly. If this shell were a bit stiffer would be better; (2) The outer, harder shell, breaks between the charging hole and the earbuds hole. This could be solved by making it with stronger material or reinforcing this lower part of the shell. As the product is now, I would not recommend it. Mine lasted for about 3 months.

This case is a lifesaver. I can hang my phone around my neck, use my Voice Message app with ease when I'm rehearsing music and I've been able to eliminate all the "where's my phone," rhetorical questions and random grasping around. The only thing that's a bit tricky to use is the stylus/ I still can't get it out of it's holder, but who cares...this case and "Hangy" is just what I needed as a choral and solo singer.

The item is great, but I purchased this for my mom so that she'd have her phone with her in case of emergency. The instructions for putting the case on the phone were poor - vague and difficult to follow.

NOPE. DON'T BELIEVE PAID REVIEWS!!!
Should be called iCrappy. This thing is a joke. I'm a journalist and when I interview folks I use an app on my iPhone to record my conversations. Often my assignments require that my hands be free, so I thought this would be the perfect thing to accompany me on my adventures. Not so much. It is cheaply made -- the fasteners are thin and make a tenuous connection between the phone and the lanyard. The silicone sleeve doesn't fit the phone and is super baggy when inserted into the outer holder. Even if it did fit (I couldn't even get it on the phone properly) it's not trustworthy. I would imagine that everyone who might need this would want it to be reliable -- stick your phone around your neck, forget about it and GO! Trusting that it won't fall off. There's no way I would take this out in the field. DON'T BELIEVE ALL OF THE SCAMMY FIVE STAR REVIEWS!!! Pretty sure the company is paying someone to write those, or giving people discounts to write a great review of a bad product. I wish Amazon would manage the fake reviews for customers. So frustrating to use those reviews as a resource when researching items, then find out that it's all paid lies. In any case, I would never, ever recommend this thing.
