These things are lifesavers. I have them set to turn on my fragrance/incense around the house every morning and evening at 8pm, and off 2 hours later automatically. Always works like a charm. I switched them out during the holidays to turn my Christmas tree off/on automatically. I even moved them outdoors for Christmas lights (though kept safe from rain in an enclosure). I enjoy using Google to command them at will, though the wife feels silly. It uses the Smart Life app which many amazon smart products uses, and so far has been reliable. Firmware was updated upon setting up and went seemless. The app allows you to set a timer individually for the actual switch, and the LED color ring itself. This is nice as I set the ring to soothing colors in the master bedroom but the wife did not sleep well (so that changed). The LED colors can be customized with different settings, such as a smooth flow through colors, rapid, different patterns, and best of all, you can pick the colors! I bought a 4-pack and it cost less than one smart plug from Lowe's (which was 4 inches wide and obnoxious/gimmicky looking). The only downside is the circle plug itself is slightly big so you cannot plug two in the same receptacle. I have not needed to do this, so it does not impact me, but something to note. Overall one of the best purchases. Money well spent.

These devices are super easy to set up I had my first one set up in less than 10 minutes . I read a few reviews that these WiFi plugs were hard to setup. Well I think the company should have included a web link for better instructions. But that said all you need to do is simply download and install the Smart Life app set it up, put the plug in pairing mode and choose the first option of WiFi plug on devices and you are good to go. Also note that the ring lights on the plug are a second device versus the power plug. You'll need to use the Smart Life software to set up the color of the ring that you like and if you use Alexa that will be a separate device. Another words you can tell Alexa to change the color ring to a different color or tell Alexa to turn your device on and off. Very cool and it's a price that these are being sold for they are the best value I've seen yet for a Wi-Fi plug. They look great and they work great. I'm going to buy for more just cuz they're so cool :-)

If you are automating your home this is a great product to add to your arsenal. Works great with Alexa, home and away, works great with the stand alone Smart Life app as well. The only hiccup with realizing i needed to enable the Smart Life skill in Alexa before it found the devices, two thumbs up. A short how too included with the box wouldn’t hurt for the less tech savvy. Thanks for the quick shipping.The only function I am unable to get working with Alexa is to change the lighting color on the LED ring, that still requires the Smart Life app, the on off is no problem LED and switch.

OK, this is an update to my previous review.So, I arrived home last night and saw that the two I had set for window decorations (left all year round) were on, and shut off at the designated time. The one I set for a lamp in the same room was not on. So, I checked the timing and discovered that there were two options to set timing. The one I originally set was for “Lamp Timer.” Since this is not a lamp timer unit but rather just a timer, I deleted that programming and set the timer for the lamp. It went off at the designated time.Overall, I’d buy these again if I needed more, but I still have one left and no need for any more.All my problems could have been eliminated if there were clearer programming directions instead of the user having to figure out how to do the necessary timings.One more thing. I have the timings set for 6:00 PM (on,) and 10:00 PM (off.). I’d really like to set them for ON at dusk, and off at a fixed time.I suppose that has something to do with “Scenes,” but I’ll have to investigate that further.Update: (April 23)Thank you for the offer of the new smart plug. I accept.Regarding any problems I was having, all (almost) are solved.Pairing was the easiest part after one gets the instructions correct.The difficulty was the programming of the time settings. I finally figured them out and what I was doing wrong.I keep two plugged in all the time for seasonal holiday decorations.The only problem I have is setting each to go on at sunset. I have them set to go off at a fixed time.Another is set to control a lamp that only goes on and off 2 days a week.I even have that programmed to work with Alexa.I have 2 other devices, an indoor power strip, and an outdoor power plug (3ports.)I’d like to program the outdoor power plugs for dusk to a fixed hour.ThanksHL
