Waste! NO content regarding the Overhead Squat Assessment, Upper Cross Syndrome, or Lower Cross!
Literally took/aced NASM this morning — and with no help from this book. Not only do the practice exams include questions that weren’t in NASM (and certainly not on the text itself), they had NO content regarding the Overhead Squat Assessment, Upper Cross Syndrome, and Lower Cross Syndrome! Having JUST taken the exam, I can say that these are by the most important areas to know! Please save your money (and most importantly your time when studying for an exam like this), and focus on the NASM Chapter Reviews, Quizlet sets, and the many free online study guides. This product will only serve to leave you confused and unprepared. Thank goodness I relied on a handful of other resources while prepping...

Great content except missing assesment information and muscle actions
It has all the easy to master questions. Literally zero questions on all three tests about short/long/under-active/overactive muscles or muscle actions which is probably the most important type of question. I would give it 1 star but this book luckily doesn't cost $40+ like the other rip off content they make

Better But Still Not Good
When I have taken major exams in my life, I have used as many study materials and taken as many sample tests as I possibly can. If you are like me and will be taking the NASM, you would probably want to do the same thing and might be tempted to purchase the NASM PERSONAL TRAINING PREP BOOK 2019-2020 which contains 3 full-length practice exams. If that is the case, please don’t. Why I think there is benefit in studying as much as possible, the NASM PERSONAL TRAINING PREP BOOK 2019-2020 would not be a good investment of your time or money. While the book doesn’t have as many publishing errors as previous installment, the book seems to be written using a much earlier edition of the NASM textbook (probably the 3rd edition). The book is riddled with errors and questions that are in direct contradiction of the most current NASM textbook. Textbooks are regularly updated as more information becomes available and so are tests. This test prep book has not been updated. In fact, other than the correction of some publishing errors, there is no major difference between this book and the previous edition of the book.

Great study book...
This book is short, concise, and thoroughly packed with three full length tests. Each test is designed to give the test taker the full experience and hands-on practice they need to succeed. It contained answers and explanations. I felt this was definitely worth studying and using to help pass the exam. Most books only give 1-2 full length tests, yet this one had 3. Overall, I would recommend it to all.I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

Excellent Review for the NASM Personal Training Exam
If your going to be taking the NASM exam, you need a book like this. It can also be used for people who work out and want more information on how and what to do, as I learned several things from this I did not know. You can order an 'Essential Test Tips' video DVD and you should do that as much of the problems people have taking tests are nerves, and something in the DVD may make a huge difference to you. How to order is on the first page of the book. This book contains three full length practice tests of 120 questions each and is set up in the same format as the real test - Multiple Choice. At the end of each test you will find the answer key, which contains not just the correct answer and the rational on what that is correct, but an explanation as to why the other answers are incorrect. I often find it as useful to know why something is incorrect as to what makes an answer correct.I was provided a copy of this book at no cost to myself. This is my voluntary review.

Great resource
Since the key for success is practice, this is a great resource to prepare for the NASM exam. The 3 full length practice tests that it includes have detailed explanations that will allow you to prepare at your fullest. The book does not have a very detailed reading material; it is more brief and a cluster format.

Aha moments when you get why your answer is wrong or right
I like how it explains why other answers are wrong. It helps to save time having to go back to the book and find out why. It helps to remember it better. I am 40 y/o and I find myself having hard time retaining information. But when you do the tests and get it wrong and it’s explained to you why right then and there, that A-Ha moment makes it easier to remember
