and produced some of the best tasting watermelons my wife and I have ever had
I ordered 2 packs of these seeds around the end of April of this year. Not sure where the "worthless" review came from. We started 3 of these plants, and within a week, we had sprouts. After 2 weeks, we transplanted these into an open field. Even after a mild hail storm, these things flourished, and produced some of the best tasting watermelons my wife and I have ever had.A few hints that we learned... water water water... burm up around the plants if ya have to. We even put our cut grass around it to hold in the moisture, which helped a lot too. Once the fruit has set, pull the water back enough to keep the plants alive, otherwise the rind will never get strong enough, and they'll split open before they ever fully ripen. We had about 3 good sized melons do this before we figured out what was going on. Plus, reducing the water will force the sugars into the fruit, making it an even sweeter melon. So far, biggest melon we've had topped the scale at 58.6lbs, and even for its size, it was still a great tasting melon. 3 plants have produced over 30 good melons this year. Can't ask for much more!Again, not sure what was going on in the negative review, but, even after a hail storm, +100 degree days, lots of wind and west texas dirt... these things were great!

I planted 20 or so seeds, everything in the ...
I planted 20 or so seeds, everything in the packet, in starter cups and put them up in the window. After 21 days only 8 sprouted and they looked rather frail and temperamental. Another 10 days has passed since then and no more have come up. The sprouted ones have not changed much. They dont yet have their third leaf, Just the original two that opened the seed and they continue to look unhappy. They must be very slow growers. My sister laughed at me when I told her I was growing purple watermelons. I hope that some of them survive to maturity so I can prove that it's not a photo shopped picture, they really are real.

They were not as sweet as other melons I've grown in the past
The watermelons produced 3-4 melons per vine. They were about 1 foot across in diameter. They are not purple inside. Instead, they have yellow patches on the outside of the rind. They are pink to reddish inside. They were not as sweet as other melons I've grown in the past. I was disappointed in the lack of flavor. The seeds started very easily and had a 4/5 success rate.

Moon and Stars watermelon
Seeds arrived on time and sprouted quickly. I have them growing in a couple of different area's so we'll see if they produce. The plants are very interesting in that they have spots on them as well. After at least 90 days, we have about 5 melon's out of 10 plants. Picked the largest yesterday that weighed 24.4 lbs BUT VERY dissappointing in that it was not purple, nor sweet, nor purple on the outside.

Very easy to plant and grow
Very easy to plant and grow. After a few days, the seedlings emerged. Once I placed them into bigger pots, they grew very fast and strong. I currently have (2) plants growing; no flowers or fruit yet; but I am excited to see what grows.

Lower germination rate than expected.
Had trouble getting germination. Planted lots of seed to get a couple sprouts. In the end I got two melons

photo is not really accurate
be aware that the color of both the flesh and rind are off in the picture. The rind is green with the yellow blotches and flesh regular red. Do not know how they grow or taste yet
