I got this because my husband is a hot sleeper. It breathes great. In the meantime, we had a baby and of course she peed in the comforter. I have washed it many times in the machine, comforter still works great even though silk may have bunched up a bit.il i just line dry afterwards. So don't get your panties in a wad about the washing

I am a lover of my down comforter, but I live in beautiful sunny CA and it's just not practical year round. I used to trade out to a light blanket during the summer, but it was getting pretty beat up and I wanted something that felt as luxurious as my down comforter. Silk? Never heard of it for a comforter fill. Did my research and settled on this light-weight comforter. I love it! It doesn't fluff around you like down does. It just drapes over your body...I know that sounds weird but it drapes different than my other blankets. Our nights have been running around 55-65 F and this has been warm enough for us to sleep with the windows open and stay warm. When the windows are closed, we keep the house at around 73 F and it hasn't been too warm (although, I admittedly throw out my feet on occasion as I tend to run pretty warm as a person). We keep a duvet cover on it and that is a microfiber, so I know that makes it a little warmer than it would be without it, but it's been perfect for us. The true test for us will be when summer comes, but we sleep with the air conditioner on once it gets warm, so I anticipate it still working for us then.

We tried four duvets before this one, including an ultralight down and another silk duvet. This summer weight duvet is perfect for us hot sleepers in the winter. It will be too hot for the summer, but that's okay. We keep our house at 58. But we are two adults and three cats in a full size bed, so there's a lot of heat generated.Quality is excellent and it feels like sleeping under a fluffy cloud.

I would have given this silk comforter 5 stars but was disappointed to learn –alas, after I received it –that it cannot be washed. Not very practical especially in a home with pets. That being said, I do love the light weight. I live in California, and I can use it all year round. and let me debunk the misinformation in a previous review, the comforter is filled with spun silk threads , but the outer cover is cotton. The cover has a zipper so you can see the silk inside.

I have to say I’m amazed with the quality; this blanket is thin and featherlight. It comes in adorable packaging, and there was no chemical smell.While I like it, I admit it is warm - my apartment is usually around 68-70F when sleeping and it can be a bit toasty so I’m interested to see how it holds up with summer (silk is supposed to keep you warm in the winter, cool in the summer, because it breaths).If you are a hot sleeper and you keep you room 68F or warmer, this blanket will be too warm despite what the advertiser says. For me its just right 66-70F.

This is the 3rd silk duvet I have purchased from this seller. This is a wonderful product, VERY lightweight yet VERY warm, a bit too warm for me even in winter in NW FL. Because it seemed unrealistically warm for the weight of the product and the fill did not have the distinctive silk scent, I started researching and read a few reviews stating the product is not silk, but polyester. Regrettably, I pulled off a piece of the inner silk and burned it as instructed for the silk authenticity test. The threads burned to a fine powder as expected from an organic product and not into a plastic ball as it would if it were man made. So, the filler could be silk, cotton, rayon, linen based on the burn test. I regret pinching off some of the silk because if you watch a video of the Chinese women carefully stretching and layering the woven silk, it seems like a sacrilege.

Received my comforter about 1 week ago and already seen the difference. It is not as fluffy as I would like it to be, but it does keep me cool throughout the night. My husband sweats during the night and since receiving this comforter along with a silk pillowcase (purchased separately) he has been able to stay cooler and doesn’t sweat.We live in Florida and we keep the AC below 70 every night, still battleing to stay cool and warm at the same time and this comforter has been able to do both for us.Personally not using the duvet cover as I use the flat sheet and decor duvet on top. So it stays protected.

I just love this blanket. I didn't believe it could be so warm while still being so lightweight I ended up taking the top cover off. All I needed was this wonderful blanket. The temperature went down to about 48*F last night. I had the windows wide open and was very comfortable.I highly recommend this blanket.

Seems to be very nicely made and surprisingly warm for something so thin. Very comfortable in use as it breathes well, perfect for a cooler room in summer.

Was looking for a queen size silk/cotton duvet for my child. It looked and felt very thin when I opened it (vaccum packed). After being left outside for an afternoon, it's getting fluffier and slightly thicker but still looked thin. I was thinking to try for one night, keep it for summer if it's not warm enough, and get a thicker one for winter. To my surprise, my child told me it is pretty warm. We have room temperature around 21 Celsius. I think it might be because the duvet is new and fluffy so it can trap air better. Anyway, it's a good purchase with nice price. I would strongly recommend it.
