These were worn down in the center like they were used. Didn't put pressure where it needed to be. If you have OSD then get something else.

Unfortunately, the knee strap did not work for me at all. I have an old knee injury from my Navy days and decided to order this strap to see if it would help. I actually tried using the strap on a day where I was not having any knee pain. To my surprise....within 15-20 minutes of putting the strap on.....my knee actually began to ache. I did not have the strap too tight....I had it on to what felt like a "normal" fit. It didn't feel tight or uncomfortable...but within a short time it caused my knee to ache. When I removed the strap....my knee started to feel better. Perhaps the knee strap will work well for others. However, I have to give a low rating because not only did it not work for me.....but it actually caused my knee to ache shortly after putting it on.

I ordered these for my wife who has knee pain that often wakes her up at night. She wore these all day yesterday including on our walks, going up the stairs numerous times and around the house. While the pain was not entirely gone last night she reported that it definitely was a bit reduced.She is impressed by the quality of the material and the design. Easy to put on and take off. The Velcro kept them in place and the bands are easily adjustable. They were comfortable and she totally forgot she had them on after awhile.There was no package insert with directions on how to wear them; however, the product page has photos and directions which helped.While these do not replace an actual knee brace for more severe knee pain, they are an alternative for when a brace is too cumbersome or you just need a little support.

I selected this "Athletec Sport Patella Knee Strap " item because I banged up my knee in a bicycling accident and after a week or so the neoprene tubular knee brace I was using had become too uncomfortable and annoying to wear. This little strap doesn't provide the overall compression that a tube brace does, but it did apply pressure below the patella which did seem to help support and comfort my knee during regular activity (walking around basically). I'm not a sports doctor, so I honestly don't know if this device has any real therapeutic value, but for mild support and relief for a partially healed sprained knee, it seemed to work just fine for me.

My daughter and I both suffer from knee issues so I decided to try this. Sizing is generous as we are decidedly NOT the same size and yet it fits us both. I noticed a bit of support from it. It was comfortable for both walking and biking. It stays in place and its slim design means it is not overly warm.My daughter felt it was more helpful than I did - perhaps because she has a newer injury than mine? Its an inexpensive product - if you're having knee pain/patella issues, it is certainly worth a try

My husband had an old knee injury and had a meniscus repair done years ago. Now, his knee acts up sometimes and the tendons don't seem to have the support he needs. This helps for some activities when his knee feels as if it needs extra support. It was helpful on the day that we helped with moving some furniture, where there was a lot of lifting and bending, as well as stair-climbing.The velcro makes it easy to fit. He is fine-boned so wouldn't normally use a size large, but he wore this over his jeans, so it was a good fit. They are very lightweight and have good padding.

My husband has recently been experiencing some pain in his knees. As it's not quite to the level in which he should make a doctor's appointment, I thought getting a pair of these knee straps might provide some relief before it gets to that point. These fit perfectly according to the size chart. When wearing these my husband noticed a marked difference in terms of stability and uses them when exercising on the recumbent bike. The material appears durable enough that I do anticipate them lasting for quite awhile. Recommend as a good purchase if you are shopping around for something to help with minor knee pain.
