Great lav.
This is a versatile mic. Plug it straight into a tascam digital recorder on the 3/4 channel or use with a zoom h1n in your pocket for solid quality backup. Use the deity d-XLR adapter to plug into a juicedlink/beachtek preamp then into a DSLR and it’s very usable as primary audio. Can even use with a lightning adapter with an iPhone and it works. Very impressed with sound. Can pick up rustle from crinkly clothing but overall clear, crisp and resonant audio. I think they should have a shorter cable with an adapter and extension cord because it’s long and can be cumbersome to manage but I see why they do it and I’m really just being nit picky. The only thing I really would like to see changed is the size of the mic head. It’s quite big by lav standards, so not the most discreet lav. But again, not a huge issue. Overall, good bit of kit that you’ll be glad you have.

Like this mic!
This lav works great with the Rode Wireless Go. Many have lav mic issue with the Rode using a lav, but it works great with this mic. The only issue I have, is the length of the cord... 5m is 16.4ft... That is a huge hunk of cord to contain, but it does come with a belt pouch that is sturdy and holds the muff/extra cord. If you don't have a belt to attach it to your body, then you need some pocket space, if you are using a wireless system! Sound quality is awesome. The muff works, bit is WHITE and if need more cover, buy another one. Great post editable sound and easy to use. Don't know how long the batteries will last, but we'll see...

Good with Post-production Workflows
Good budget-priced lav. I plug mine into a Zoom H1n and record at 24bit/96k and it works well. Keep in mind that you're going to have to pull it into a post-production environment to get better sound. In my experience, between the 200–500Hz range, you're going to encounter some boxiness. Lav also has some decent floor noise as well, but you can kill it by using a Denoise filter with bookended high and low pass filters and a noise gate.

Superb!
Definitely improves the quality of audio. Crystal clear and works the minute you plug into your iphone or ipad (you will need an adapter for both). For a Macbook, you will have to go in and set the Diety as input. The only thing I don't like is that when used with a phone or ipad, you won't be able to use your speakers. That is, you won't be able to hear the party on the other end of your call or zoom, but that's not Diety's fault.

Canon Rebel t6i
If your sound quality is poor at first, double check the batteries. For some reason they were set incorrectly, one should be Positive side showing, the other should be Negative side showing. Once I flipped one, sound quality went from terrible to greatUsed on Canon Rebel t6i

20 feet of CORD?!
I bought this lav SIMPLY because Think Media YouTube channel recommended it and USUALLY I trust their advice. Now I'm having my doubts.Previously i had a lav mic and after 4 years it died. It was a $50 mic bought at a camera store, but it worked well. Not amazing mind blowing audio, but well (it WAS my first mic).I've also tried hand held, self contained mics that are hot shoe compatiable (for when your camera doesn't have a mic input of any sort). Also pretty meh (and at $130 I wasn;t happy).I don't know why I didn't just shop for a fully wireless. I still have Covid fog, so I guess things are not going to be as (brain turns off looking for the word . . .) ok nevermind. Can't think of words right now.Bottom line is the cord kills the deal on this one.My old lav mic had MAYBE 10ft . . . more like 6 I think though. Enough I could clip it on, run it under my shirt and plug into my phone in my pocket or set it right next to me. But that mic ONLY worked on my phone . . . nothing else.THIS HAS LIKE 20 FEET OF CORD!!!What do you DO with all that?! It's so thin, it's like a tripline! I think they honestly should ahve designed it to ahve a retractable cord that could be pulled in like a tapemeasure. Then, and ONLY then, would the 20ft cord make sense. They list it as 5 meters . . . which my covid brain read as 5 feet (of course), and that's why I had been holding out on getting one so I WOULDN'T buy the wrong item. UGH.Sound pick-up is good right to left and up and down. Not very rich, pretty bland sound, but no line noise as I played with the cord, my hair over it and my sweater moving around. So that's a plus.If I use it a bit more and decide the quality out weighs the cord, then I'll update and post the update at the top!

So far so good
We've used it twice now for our podcast / video sessions. It's a good sounding mic and any hiss we've been able to correct in post. As some of the other reviews have pointed out, you get what seems endless mic cable. We were able to use the velcro strap that came with the mic to hold the excess in place. Overall, we're happy. Deity makes great sounding mics at a reasonable price.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT DIED WITHIN 2 HOURS OF USE
I am beyond annoyed and angry at this product and Deity.I bought a Aperture LAv mic before this, which died on me within my first use of it of sitting behind a desk and doign a bit of voice recorodingI then though ok well probably cheap Chinese junk, as they are more known for their lighting. So let me go for a so called "professional" audio company.I WAS DEAD wrong, because not even an hour later, this things is 100% DEAD! Exact same situation. Behind a desk doing basic recording and bam!DEAD AND WORTHLESS!$50 down the drain!Nothing works!THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE you are making Chinese trash just like everyone else and charge and absolute fortunate for it!!!I will NEVER EVERY buy another one of your products again and no one else should either!Disgusted!
