I grew up on Chief products and to be able to import it, is amazing, it’s so hard to find Trini saffron in the Midwest. Now I can make authentic seasoning.

Note that this item appears when you may be looking for Saffron, but it's 100% Turmeric. It's the name of the COMPANY that includes "Saffron." The tumeric is good, however.

Real deal. Cultural note: North Americans call this turmeric, West Indians grew up knowing this as "(Indian) saffron" because saffron is a yellow-orange colour and that's the colour of the powder. We've only recently adopted the etomology of turmeric". This is an honest company, in a country where the chemistry, food & drug division does its work. I've used this product for years for various kinds of pain and other health benefits. It's inexpensive, mild flavour (I use it sparingly) and works.

I was leery about this when I initially saw it. I should have gone with my first instinct. Now that I've ordered it; I read the review that it doesn't contain Saffron. That is simply not good enough. This is false advertisement. The name of the brand is Chief. It is not Chief Saffron Powder! It does say 100% Turmeric Powder; but it also says there may be other ingredients besides. This should not be allowed to pop up when one is looking for Saffron. While Saffron is very expensive; this should have contained at least 1% of it. Turmeric is very inexpensive-so this is still a rip-off to charge this price for such a small quantity of it. I state again...Deception Lurks Here, BUYER BEWARE!!! I expect more from Amazon than to allow it's customers to be taken advantage of this way! Shame,Shame, Shame!!!
