Auto Siphon for Brewing Regular 5/16” Siphon with Clear Tube and Siphon Clip

The clamp really helped keep my hopes and garbage in the bottom and have two hands to move it to my secondary fermenter. Was deep enough to get almost all the liquid, little bit of a tilt and I had everything.

First, this is short if you are using a 5gallon carboy. Might be good for a 3gallon, but not sure.When we went to use it we got half way through transferring mead from a 5 gallon carboy and and it lost all suction. Wouldn’t recommend.My last siphon from another company lasted over 4yrs but the plastic tubing started to show age so I bought this. That was a mistake on be part.

Although this is pictured protruding out of a tall bucket of the slim design this siphon is a short version. Won't work with any of the 6 gallon carboys or buckets.

Its a little short for a 5 gallon carboy if it was another 4-6 inches longer i would have been much happier

It is exactly the size I wanted for my 1 gallon fermenters. This does not fit a 3, 4, 5,or 6.5 gallon carboy; I wanted this for my one gallon setup. The production quality was moderate, there is an injection mark on the inner seal that leaks the pressure when using the pump, slightly. It takes 3-4 cycles to start the pump, instead of 1-2, but it does work. Last, the seating of the end pieces on the outer assembly is not flush and the glue used is not cleaned off on the bottom cap. It is good for the price you pay, but as I have only used it once so far, I can't say how long it will last. Good for a starter setup or an inexpensive stop gap until you want to get a stainless steel setup. The tubing is solid, and works as expected.

This is a very good item in that it works well and very easy to clean. Makes the job of transferring to secondary fermentation very easy.

Very cheap materials. The plastic arm broke on first use, wrecking the entire siphon.

The picture shows the bottle filler, but it didn't come with the package.
