These are great for creating wood artwork. I stained them different colors, found that stain works better than paint, and created a mountain landscape. They cut nicely and are very easy to sand down to the shape and size you need. Great value for what you are getting.

I recently purchased the Custom Shop Craft and Paint Sticks, and while they are generally fantastic, I did encounter a minor issue that prevented me from giving them a perfect rating. Overall, these sticks have been a game-changer for my crafting and painting projects, but there were a few rough edges that affected their usability.On the positive side, the majority of the sticks in the set are sturdy, durable, and incredibly versatile. They have made painting and crafting a breeze, providing excellent control and precision. I particularly appreciate the variety of sizes and shapes included, which have proven useful for a wide range of tasks.However, I did notice that some of the sticks in the set had rough surfaces that made them difficult to use. These rough edges made it challenging to achieve smooth brush strokes and detail work, which was frustrating at times. While this issue didn't render the entire set unusable, it did detract from the overall experience.Despite this minor flaw, I still believe that the Custom Shop Craft and Paint Sticks are an excellent tool for crafting enthusiasts. With a bit of sanding or smoothing, the rough sticks can still be put to good use. I just wish that the quality control had been more consistent across the entire set.In conclusion, if you're in the market for versatile crafting and painting sticks, I would still recommend giving these a try. Just be aware that you may encounter a few rough edges along the way.

This product was exactly what I was looking for. I needed to build a custom organizer and these slats were the perfect size. They were slightly warped, but this is to be expected of wood products. The slats are soft wood and cut easily. Good for crafts of all kinds.

Trying to stir settled high viscosity paint / primer or scoop body filler from a can is 50/50 if the mixing stick will break or not. Stray splinters sometimes come off in whatever you're doing. Not a big deal when straining paint, but if you're paddling filler out of the can its maddening.

I use them to stir paint, but they have no weird shape, so I use them too if I need just a thin piece of wood

These were good except that at least 50% of them had rough, slivery edges. I had to re-sand to avoid getting more splinters than I had already gotten. Rough edges got worse when painting (swelling from the moisture??).I bought these for a particular project with my kids but because of the roughness, they weren’t very kid-friendly. 😠Also there was a bit of variation in the thickness so don’t purchase if you need them all to be a consistent thickness.
