Was skeptical about BioBag's ability to produce a functional law bag due to the care I have to take with their kitchen bags. I figured worst case scenario, I'd just use these as kitchen bags. These are considerably thicker than indoor BioBag products and hold a decent amount of material. I can get three lawnmower bags of grass clippings into one of these, and the bag is strong enough for me to walk from the frontyard to the back of the house holding it be the knot. Like other BioBag products, they are not as strong as standard plastic trash bags. Will these hold sharpened sticks, needles and razors (why do you have needles and razors on your lawn)? Not especially well, but they are more than adequate for normal lawn clippings, leaves, random waste, etc.You'll have to decide what balance works for you with regard to ease of use/functionality versus potential environmental impacts. For my purpose , these check both boxes.

My town requires that grass clippings, leaves, and any other yard waste be bagged and put in the curb for them to pick up. I like these bags becuase they are great for the grass and leaves. They are by no means heavy duty, so if you put too much weight in them or sharper things like branches, expect the bag to tear. But for the simple stuff like grass and leaf waste, they do just fine.And I like that they are biodegradable and compatible with the town recycling. Makes me feel a little better that I'm not just piling garage on this planet. And as I am slightly obsessed with color coding, having green as yard waste just feels right. The garbage guys have a easier time sorting through all the stuff on the curb too.

In order to write a review, you must submit one star. If I could, I would give this product a negative 5! Great concept, but this product is totally worthless. Every time I tried to open a bag, it split or tore. Will never purchase again.UPDATE! 2/1/16 have just recently tried these again purchased at a local retailer. The company must have adjusted the composition because the bags are wonderful. No tearing, seem to hold together better, no leaks. I am quite pleased!

With hurricane Beryl recently there were few bags available in the Houston area. Have used these bags before as we are required to use compostable bags in Houston for lawn waste. Was great to find them available through Amazon.

They are thin so I double up, not sure if I need to but they are cheap enough and I put sticks and all sorts of pokey stuff in them and they have not ripped like others I have tried. . I live in Houston and they are very picky about which bags we can use and the local stores are always sold out. These work great. The box comes with 6 smaller boxes in it. I would recommend

In Prince William County, Va you are not allowed to use “plastic” leaf bags. EVEN IF COMPOSTING BAGS. The county landfill and leaf collection trucks won’t allow them. They apparently don’t break down fast enough and get caught in the composting machines. Not just this brand, any plastic leaf bag.

We have a very busy Fall. Lots and lots of trees. I always use a leaf shredder, or the 50plus bags it would take would be ridiculous! With our shredder (also awesome), I manage To get that way down to around 10 - 15 bags. I am disgusted at all that plastic that will eventually end up in the soil, our food, etc. But you know that if you're looking at this:)Great product! I was worried about them not being strong enough, but they have been great!Our shredder: WORX WG430 13 Amp Foldable Bladeless Electric Leaf Mulcher -- just don't go too fast if leaves are wet. 3rd year with it. The only catch is it takes a 100 foot extension in our large yard.

While all of these types of bags, as required by our city for yard waste pickup, are not sturdy enough for some types of lawn and garden contents, this company definitely has the best. And with recent freeze and loss of vegetation in our area, the local stores were out of supply, so finding these on Amazon was a blessing. They do the job just fine, hold more than others of this kind, and are sturdy enough to get me from weekend warrior to Thursday pick up.

These bags are large enough to fit into our garbage bin so that we can fill them up with yard waste and put them in our city compost bin.

great bags, pretty darned expensive but worth it in my books. Not sure i'll buy them again because the 120 litre bins in my city are about 4 inches too tall for these bags to fit properly but, the quality of the bags is excellent. If they were a bit larger, i'd be a regular buyer for these.

With between 120 and 130 bags of leaves to pick up, need to have bags that are sturdy and of good capacity. These fit the bill. I use a 30 gal garbage can to put the bag in to collect the leaves.
