To hard no other big picture in with the puzzle took a week to just get the border but these weird pieces just don’t fit right to many of those crazy pieces if you’re going to do that then you should put on the back alphabet letters so it makes it a little easier to put these crazy pieces together just looking at the picture on the box is not big enough to see details so start adding big pictures with them just like the Buffalo puzzles

This puzzle arrived sealed in plastic (both the outer box and the pieces themselves). Not ever having done a 1000-piece puzzle that I can remember, I was expecting a challenge and that is what I received. The picture consists of mostly a handful of colors: Black, gold, yellow, orange and red. This made sorting and hunting down specific pieces an effort. Some of the pieces, especially along the border, were tough to choose the right matching piece. They would connect with a flush straight line, with no noticeable ill-fitting connection, but inevitably ended up not connecting to the other correct ones in the main artwork. Not a big deal, I just set them aside until I finished the interior of the puzzle and then they too fell into place. The puzzle piece shape assortment seem to be pretty varied, with both standard four-sided pieces, and others that took on whole new shapes. I was always surprised to see what piece ended up fitting in those missing spots, even having gone over them as potential choices.My only gripe is a minor one: A few of the pieces were still connected to one another at the corner of a piece. I had to carefully cut them apart as not to tear the artwork. Also one or two longer pieces were slightly bent, with stress marks on the printed side. Luckily, the box included all 1000 pieces, with nothing missing.The artwork is what drew me to the puzzle, a classic old-school fantasy painting. The colors can be subdued in some of the areas where shadows are present, while the fire really lights up other sections to the point of using white. A fantastic-looking puzzle once finished. Once completed, I let it be for a day to reflect upon, and then took it apart carefully to enjoy another day.

This is the first time that I ever wrote a review about a producrt and it feels funny to write it about a puzzle. However, I hope that it may help other puzzle people avoid this product. First, I must admit that while we are good at puzzles, we are not masters. My problem with the puzzle is that it is hard to a fault. And when I say this, I mean that puzzle pieces are made to fit almost exactly in several spots - so that it is almost impossible to distinguish where they should be. We learn this with the border pieces because that is where you start. The border is clear cut, you have a specific group of pieces that define the edge. In this case, we struggled due to this problem of identical pieces with multiple fit places. Worse, even when a piece fit, the fit was not exact so it left room for interpretation. We had to stop this puzzle because it was not fun. It was just frustration.

This is pretty challenging! We loved it! Very good quality, no broken pieces!

We are not intimidated by 1,000 piece puzzles, and we don't shrink away from tight color schemes. We (meaning my kids) have completed a number of puzzles this year, and completed this one, also.The problem with this puzzle is that the piece shapes are boring. The basic shape is a four-sided piece, with only tiny variations in the tabs and holes, set in straight lines across the puzzle. This means that two similar-colored pieces with nearly identical shapes can fit into a spot, but of course only ONE piece is correct. The kids had to remove pieces often after realizing a mistake. Their ages range all the way down to 6; it is frustrating for a 6-year-old to have his pieces taken out. One other note: the pieces do not "interlock," so once a child completes a section, like a pillar or the tower of flame, it can't be moved as a section -- you have to take it apart piece by piece or try to transfer it on a piece paper. That's not fun.On the plus side, the picture on the box is HUGE, so more than one kid can look at it at the same time, from across the table. Also on the plus side, the completed puzzle is gorgeous and a joy to look at.We do puzzles after school to relax, or as a time-out activity when life gets too busy. This was not a relaxing or fun puzzle for us, although the morning they came trooping upstairs to tell me it was finished, they were very impressed with themselves.

The pieces are high quality and fit well together. You are not left guessing if the piece fits or not. When it fits, it snaps into place. The colors are vibrant and the final product beautiful. We put this together over the course of a week with my daughter while listening to the audiobook the Hobbit. After the week, we watched all the Hobbit movies and then LOTR. This puzzle helped turn my daughter into a Tolkien fan.

We've done a number of 1000-piece puzzles and this one was the most difficult one. Some of the pieces look like a perfect match but aren't--especially on the edges. If it's a challenge you want, this puzzle is for you.

I completed this puzzled today and I am quite satisfied that I got it done. The pieces don't interlock very well so I ended up basically starting from the outside and working in which made it somewhat more difficult. I didn't have the space to have multiple parts being put together at the same time and it was a bit hard to place exactly where a part might be going. It's challenging and was a bit frustrating at times with parts where there wasn't much difference in the colors, but well worth it. It's a beautiful puzzle and I will enjoy having it one my wall now that I have framed it.

I was sceptical about buying a puzzle online, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is exactly as advertised, and the puzzle itself is very well printed. It arrived a few days late, but that would be my only complaint.The puzzle was a lot of fun to complete, challenging yet not frustrating.

very disappointing. The puzzle itself was made very cheaply with edges that crumble off and it was missing three pieces. I feel very ripped off and unsatisfied. I can't fault the seller, though, because they sent it in good time and it was appropriately packaged
