much smarter idea
It works great. I love the igo charger, no matter what phone or blue tooth I use there is a tip available to charge it. The tips cost a lot less than a whole new charger for every time you get a new phone. You can have a tip for anyone in the family and they can use the charger in your car or on the home charger. I have the split end charger and can charge 2 at a time.

I love my iGo charger
The A133 works for iPhone and iPad, but there is another iGo tip that looks identical, with a number of A61. It does not work with either of those two devices. It apparently works with an iPod. This one works great for me to reduce the number of chargers I have to take on my travels and in my car.

Doesn't work! "Charging not supported"
I have the iGo charger and many tips and love the concept - and until now, the performance...since the A61 tip (charges my iPods) didn't work, I ordered the A133. It doesn't work either - I get the dreaded "charging not supported" message. No fun when you are in a foreign country and need power. I am going to contact iGo and see what they say. Stay tuned. In the meantime, check out the Kensington battery pack - charge that and your iPhone at the same time, and carry the slim backup battery with you. Works great. (Of course, I got to pay for mine with a weak dollar while overseas. Thanks, iGo.)

Functional; should be available in black
What more to say about a simple plug. It works. No problems thus far.But since these are made for iPhones and iPod Classic/Video/Nano/Touch which all come in either two or more colors, the white adapter attached to the iGo black cord plugged into a black/neon-colored iPod/iPhone looks a bit incongruent. It should have been plain black like most all of the other iGo tips as it normally stays attached dangling at the end of the black iGo power cord. Even when plugged into a white iPhone/iPod a black adapter would still look good as it would not appear to be part of the iPhone/iPod, unlike a white adapter which would seem to be an extension of the iPhone/iPod thereby detracting from the smooth, graceful lines of the Apple device with this white flat chunk of plastic poking out the bottom followed by a black cord (if the cord was white as well, then that's a different but acceptable aesthetic).Since its a small, plain adapter, the only review that be done on it are quality and aesthetics. 5 for quality but 2 for aesthetics averages a 3 to me in my truncated math...

Great Tip
Great idea! I wish that I had thought of it! You can save money and space by purchasing additional tips instead of purchasing multiple chargers. It works for both my phone and ipod. My husband has a different phone and instead of purchasing a separate car charger, I'll just purchase a additional tip that is compatible to his phone. I didn't think that it would work, but a friend recommended this to me and they swear by it.

iPhone 3g YES , iPhone 3gs YES
Ordered the first 133 for hubs iPhone 3g works perfect every time. I upgraded to the iPhone 3gs at its release, investigated the igo tip for my phone and ordered the 133 for use with my car/wall charger. At first I thought it was a problem with the splitter, so tested that theory out, NO. Hubs returned from his week of travel and I told him mine didn't work. Hubs to the rescue (or so he thought), 3gs won't charge. He plugs his 3g in to my charger and immediately starts to charge.Bottom line ~ great product line... I use it for my other devices daily. Works perfect with 3G iPhone. NOT compatible with 3gs iPhone. For those that think it may be user error, I have had several iPhone junkies challenge that they could make it work, and it has failed for them every time.1/9/2010 : Upon recommendation by someone who read my review I tried the tip with just the straight tip (no splitter) and it is working ! I have placed my tips in a cosmetic case and will just change them out as I need them. I find that my work blackberry doesn't need charged as often as the iphone so keep that tip on most of the time. I also have a tip for my Kindle (original) and keep it in the car just in case. Happy as this means I can still get away with one cord and many tips on trips. Bummed that the splitter won't keep my two most important items charged at the same time.

Love the flexibility of iGo products
Interchangeable iGo charging tips keep up with constantly changing technology. I appreciate the durability of my iGo charger and the speed at which my devices return to 100% battery.

Does not work with the iGo splitter!
We always use the iGo splitter to charge either a GPS and a phone or two phones at the same time. Never had a problem with Blackberries and Treos. If the iGo splitter is connected to the iGo charger, even if I am trying to charge only the iPhone 3Gs and nothing is plugged in to the other end of the splitter, the phone does not recognize that it's plugged into anything and does not charge. If I remove the splitter and plug this tip directly into the iGo charger cable then it charges the phone. That's ridiculous and unacceptable. I'm blaming iGo for that, not the phone, because clearly the splitter just being inline changes something as the phone only plugs into the tip.If you don't have and don't need to use the iGo splitter then this tip should work just fine for charging your iPhone 3Gs. We have not tried it with any other Apple devices. If you need to use the iGo splitter to charge multiple devices then don't waste your money on this tip. I've tried 3 of them and they all behave the same.
