The Submissive Activity Book: Building Blocks To Better Service Paperback – February 22, 2008

I saw a review of this book on the submissive guide blog Submissive Guide and decided to buy it. I am not only a novice, I am also still on my own. This book is just what I needed to get me started. I find the forms quite useful.

Good book for any submissive to keep track of their own personal growth... Along with helping you and your dominant grow closer.

The "activities" presented in this book are nothing more than what any reasonably sane person does naturally in their daily life. Mr. Reilly is really scraping the bottom of the barrel to suggest personal budgeting as an activity in a book apparently aimed at a fetish demographic. The same goes for the authors views on time management (over a third of this kindle book is given over to an unreadable and inscrutable "year planner" that you are invited to fill out - on a kindle). Ditto for the section on how to provide references (thanks- I have successfully applied for a job/lease/bank loan etc. before, Shannon!) and also the section on notating your likes, dislikes and boundaries. The formatting on this ebook is particularly atrocious.Nothing but absolutle drivel, presented in such a manner that I was starkly reminded of being back at primary school.I don't know where the editorial review came from, but whoever wrote it should be punished by being made to actually read the book.

Lots of thought providing ideas in this book.

A very well written book. Straight to the point and very helpful esp to a novice such as myself. I recommend anyone remotely interested in the lifestyle look to this book for guidance.

Is book is full of charts to be filled out, not a whole lot of guide lines to follow not really what I was looking for

Because the book have me an insight to bdsm for my thesis and can be used in every day life as well for goal setting

This is a great beginners book, although the forms did not transfer very well to the Kindle edition. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try out the lifestyle or just get themselves more organised.

I did read the book and truly enjoyed it, but there were quite a few pages missing. That is the first time I did an ebook that had missing pages, so I was very disappointed in that aspect. But the book was still worth it, big time.

This book sorely needs descriptive text, but it's not my skill set to write publisher blurbs.This is not a "how to" or an introductory guide.This seems to be a business guide to being a professional bottom. I should have more carefully noticed the subtitle of the book (only from the photo): "Building Blocks to Better Service"It is literally filled with blank templates on things such as Budgeting, Client Lists, Likes/Dislikes, etc, that you then fill out and track like business and/or personal goal records. It seems odd that it did not therefore have serrated inner edges to tear out and file - unless the author meant for this books to be the file? There are often several copies of the same page, for multiple use or partners/clients.This is not what I expected at all, but it may be of use to some.I've sent this back to Amazon. I will in future do more research on a title listed here with no description via the publishers web site of a simple online search for feedback.
