Prayers Before an Awesome God: The Psalms for Teenagers Paperback – September 16, 2000

I LOVE this book! It has the Psalms re-written in today's language so that teens (and adults) can better relate to them and applying the Bible teachings to their own lives. I have used this book in many prayer services as well as leaving it out for the youth to delve into on their own. I purchased one for my personal use as well as a few for the youth ministry library at my church.

Not quite what I expected. Too much in the vernacular for my liking. These should be helpful prayers for those who like an everyday style, though!

I found this book the perfect companion in High School when I felt troubled or confused, it was easy to read and understand, I really enjoyed it and would ask that everyone reads it at one point in there lives !!

This book is truly awesome! As a religion teacher for teens, I have used it. But, I have also used it for groups of adults as a prayer and had great feedback. In fact, one adult borrowed my book and used it to pray each morning with her 8 year old! The prayers/psalms are written to speak to all ages.
