You'll get out of this what you put in
Workout videos/DVDs are a dime a dozen. And for current day workout videos there are 2 things that are a must.1) They must be of HD quality and/or above.2) They must have a count down timer/ticker/counter bar somewhere on the screen.Videos shot in the 80's or even 90's will get a pass here. But the more recent ones will not. So, for me, if the #2 isn't there, I will not even bother no matter how "highly recommended" it came. The simple reason being there's something about knowing AND seeing the start and finish time of your workout. It's motivational in of itself. And it visually pushes you to get to the finish line, so to speak.So, that said, I stumbled upon Con Body by accident here on Amazon. With only 3 reviews that were light on details, I almost passed on it. But, on hindsight I decided to see if there was some kind of infomercial about it on YouTube.*POOF* Mind blown.The commercial didn't show much (actually, didn't show anything) in terms of details with respect to the workout content itself. But, boy, was the presentation awe inspiring. It showed the team that came together to make Con Body, giving you a bit of background into their journey, their mistakes ... and their redemption. They segue the narrative into the fitness part of the package. Letting you know that in prison there's a workout routine that can burn and sculpt you up, if you stick with it. Hence the birth of Con Body workout video.What you get: Two discs. Each contains three workout days respectively, totaling six days in all. Each disc has a simple menu page for you to select which day/workout of your choosing.The six day regimen are titled asDISC I:1 MANIAC MONDAY (Cardio & fat burning). The trainer anchoring this is Coss Marte. You have an option of backgroundmusic or not.2 TOUGH LOVE TUESDAY (Strength & Endurance). This is anchored by Christopher Kennedy.3 LOCKDOWN WEDNESDAY (Lower Body). Anchored by Coss Marte.DISC II:1 HARDCORE THURSDAY (Upper body & Core). Sultan Malik is the trainer for the day.2 FULL BODY FRIDAY (Conditioning). Derek Drescher will take you through yet another sweat-fest.3 PRISON YOGA (Mobility & Mindfulness). Shane Ennover is your Yoga master. And this is the sixth & final workout. You can squeeze this one in over the weekend. This leaves you with one day off. Then you rinse and repeat.MY TAKE:The workouts are set in a studio designed, prison like setup, with a very apt inscription on the back-wall that reads: #DOTHETIME. On the right side of the screen is a vertical orange progression bar that lets you know how far you've come and how far you have left. Technically, it is not a real counter since it doesn't show you any actual count down numbers. But it's better than a video that doesn't have any indicator whatsoever.The workouts are not lengthy, the longest ones are still under 25 min (23 min to be exact). And some of the moves include jumping Jacks, Burpees, modified sit ups, butt kicks etc. It's not high impact like Sean T's INSANITY. But you will gas out. You will feel the burn. Especially when Sultan Malik comes in to run you the drill. Guaranteed.OVERALL IMPRESSION:It's well structured. Prime video quality and a "counter" bar to see how far you have to go to get your "gains on." Some moves are quite familiar, others not so much. And I love that it crams so much of an intense workout in under 25 minutes.If you want that ripped con body, then this is right up your alley.A definite recommend.Hope you found this review helpful.

Really motivating, fun workouts - you'll sweat for sure and may lose weight
I was hooked on this concept of formerly incarcerated men as fitness instructors. The idea of working out with minimal equipment to workouts literally conceived of in jail cells was so intriguing. The workouts are tough and depending on your level of fitness, you may need to take a break and/or may not be able to finsih all of them the first try or two. If you keep at it, you will workout a lot in a short amount of time, likely will work to a sweat and depending on other factors (including diet and perhaps genetic factors) probably will lose weight as I did. It's really motivating. I liked the Hard Core Thursdays the best and all of them were great. Even though yoga insn't a type of workout I'd normally try, the instructor was very good and I found myself doing them as well. Even my five year old likes to wokrout with me, he's always asking if he can workout with me (which is great for bonding and to cultivate his love of excercise).

These video workout program delivers, for me anyway! I did the time.
I bought this as a good stuck at home quarantine workout. It allows you to get a great workout in with no weights (just your own bodyweight) in a small space, the size of a jail cell.After doing all five days for about a month, I have gotten in much better physical shape. Especially my cardio fitness.You will sweat hard with this video if you keep steps with the instructors. If you take shortcuts, you won’t. It’s all about what you put into it.I didn’t have expectations going in, but this is one of the best short workout videos I am done. Each video day, you get a 23 min intense workout. I do it in late afternoons and it gets me sweaty. Folllow it up by a long walk with the dog and you got your body moving.

Oh my goodness!!
Now I see why convicts come home looking shredded and fit. This video will do it for you.I’m in my first week so far and I repeatedly have to pause video, catch my breath, cough up phlegm I never knew existed in my throat and chest, press play again to continue with the workout, never quitting. It burns, burns, burns!! This is NOT for obese people BUT they can benefit from this provided they repeatedly pause video and catch breath. It even hurts just to reach the pause button!!On my way to incinerating my belly fat.

A real workout!
If you looking to play games don't buy this DVD. This is a real workout from start to finish. Bought this for my husband and wanted to test it out for myself. I absolutely love this DVD because it's short workouts with fast results.
