Quickset is an automatic hook setter that uses the power of your fishing rod to set the hook. When the fish strikes, Quickset releases, letting the rod spring back, and set the hook. Always hooking the fish in the mouth making it easy to remove the hook, or letting you release the fish un-harmed. The Quickset's unique design has two internal levers, allowing it to hold the pressure of the fishing rod while only needing a normal bite to release it. When it goes off, it falls to the ground leaving nothing attached to the rod or the reel to get tangled up. A normal fish bite is sometimes so soft it bairly moves the tip of the rod. Other automatic rod holders and other devices won't release on a normal bite, unless the fish almost pulls your rod into the water. The Quickset is the original hook setter.
