Best white pen for sewing and quilting marking!
This pen works great and marks with a clearly defined thin line which is perfect for sewing and especially for quilting use on dark fabrics.

Worth every penny!
Saw this item on you tube, hesitated purchasing since I am an amateur chalk artist/hand letterer and i spend way more on this hobby than I should. But wow! I hate I waited. So easy to sketch out with and have lines that are more precise than what I can do with sharpened chalk. It erases easier than stabilo all and pastel pencils from chalkboard surfaces.I also like how smooth the chalk goes down as well. Feels like I’m writing with a normal pen, not chalk.

Great marker
It allows for greater accuracy in marking fabric because the lead is so fine.

I like it.
I haven’t used it a whole lot yet but I like the fine point! I use this on painting art projects.

Expensive yes - but worth it!
I've only used this chalk pencil for one project so far but it worked amazingly! I know there are several methods for tracing embroidery patterns onto dark fabric but this one worked so well I don't feel the need to try any other methods.I love tracing embroidery patterns onto light fabrics with a fine tip mechanical pencil, so naturally I gravitated toward a fine tip white chalk pencil for the dark fabrics. It gives you an incredible amount of detail with the chalk 'lead' being so fine, however it's not so fine that it breaks easily. I didn't need to use the eraser but I imagine it works okay (I'll update my review once I try that).I also expected the chalk to smudge if rubbed but it hasn't at all, so I'm extremely impressed and pleased with this purchase, which I think is to be expected since this is not a cheap item.I highly recommend this item. I was not offered a discount or free item to write my review at all, I found it on my own & paid with my own money - I just simply wanted to spread the word to help other crafters.

Finally!!!
I am an artist who paints on black surfaces. I have tried various chalk pencils for drawing my guidelines with only moderate success but this is the first and only MECHANICAL chalk pencil I’ve seen and it is AWESOME! I can draw much finer lines and I am absolutely thrilled with this pencil. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it!

A fine line marker for delicate fabrics that really works!
Sometimes it's hard to find a tool to do just one job, really well. The Bohin Extra Fine Mechanical Chalk Pencil makes a fine line on fabrics and will be easy to remove. The white "leads" solve the problem of marking on the black and dark colors where the popular blue water-soluble markers won't show. They don't require water for removal, so they are kind to silks as well as cottons. I am really pleased! Very easy to use!It is now a year later. I have been using my pencil regularly, changing the color of the leads as needed to be visible on my fabric. I continue to be very happy with the pencil and the refills! No problems at all with the pencil. I need a really fine fine line on my projects, since my special interest is in heirloom sewing where small size, narrow seams, and delicate embroidery is the norm. I also use the marker on some of my quilting projects. I love knowing that removal of the marks will be easy and complete; no chemicals left behind on the fabric.
