Defrosting Tray (14" x 8" x 1")

This is amazing! We often forget to put out meat to thaw the night before in the fridge. So putting it on this tray in the morning if a thick steak or later if just chicken breasts works like a charm. I had 40 frozen chicken wings I needed to thaw quickly to prepare for a Super Bowl party potluck and I could not have done it without this tray. I loaded it up with solid brick of wings and before I knew it I could break them apart and turn over once.We also feed our pups frozen raw meat medallions and if we forget to put out to thaw ahead of time, this tray saves us and we know our pups are grateful! Thawing the medallions in the microwave risks actually cooking them so that is not good. This thawing tray is a staple device in our home now.

The defrost tray is a perfect size for me. I can defrost 2 steaks or 4 hamburgers. They sure help you get the BBQ started sooner when you realize you forgot to take the steaks out of the freeze the day before. I had a similar defrost tray that I used for years but the finish started to peel off. The finish is holding up very well on this one, but I don't put it in my dishwasher like I did the last one. This might be the reason why the other trays finish started to peel off and I didn't want to risk it happening again when it's so easy to hand wash.

The tray works great and dramatically reduces the time it takes to defrost food. My only complaint is that the legs are very poorly attached to the tray and all of them fell off by the 2nd use.

Love these. I've used these for years. They work great - reduce thawing time by more than half. I bought this one as a gift. After lots of use and dishwasher runs the black finish does start to chip off and it's time to buy a new one so the chips don't get on your food if you defrost it out of the bag/package.

Thaws fast and is great for the price. Bulky frozen foods take longer but works well. Time depends on thickness.

Thought it would be much faster on thawing;It did cut down time by 25-30%. Had to flip the frozen item several time; don't know if it hurt or helped. Also, the amount of surface area in contact with the tray makes a difference. More contact, the less time needed. I still like it better than putting items in water or microwaving.

It works, no need to microwave to defrost and especially nice for items we forgot to take out to defrost earlier.

It thaws meat much faster than just setting it on the counter, but slower than putting it in a bowl of water.
