3-Year Protection Plan plus Accident Protection for Fire HD 6 (4th Generation, 2014 release) (delivered via email)

I really can't believe I am giving a protection plan 5 stars! Although skeptical, I purchased this plan for a Kindle HD 6. The kindle was about 6 weeks old when my son dropped it, shattering the screen. (It should be noted, that this was a surprise, because the HD 6 is sturdy. I commend it's durability.) So I called the warranty number, with all receipts in hand, and prepared for a fight. You know what I'm saying! I was ready to argue my case and expected some rep. who really could care less about my plight. So I was floored with how polite and informative the customer service agent was. She was able to find all my info, instructed me on how to process the request, and completed my order. In less than 5 days, I had a replacement in hand and mailed back the older one. The service was fantastic, there was no hassle, a polite agent, and Square Trade honored as promised. So reiterate -called the number, she verified my info, instructed me on deregistering my old kindle, received the replacement, activated it, sent the broken one back. Props for Amazon for making Kindle set up easy. Thank you Square Trade for honoring my business. Thank you both for being honest about your product and offering good customer service.

If my Amazon Kindle is as good as other reviewers and I think, I might never use this. I have read reviews on both ends of spectrum that praise and admonish it's hardware and support and like any good insurance, its the one thing that bought that I hope I NEVER have to use.The 2-year protection plan plus accident protection is ultimately a extended warranty for the Amazon Kindle that covers both repairs and replacement should you somehow break your Kindle/Fire device or wind up with a lemon. As a single Adult with no children, I like to think that I take exceptional care of my stuff but stuff happens and after a while its hard to live without it. Apart from taking taking precautionary steps like buying a good case and screen protector, and extended warranty should the the 3rd thing you HAVE TO BUY if you use a Kindle Fire.Tablet computers are popular things to have around and you have that is being passed around, more so with children, the extended warranty provided an extra piece of mind that covers something as cracking the screen to a total hardware failure.

I have 3 kids, 2 cats and a clumsy husband, so I was wary when I bought my Kindle Fire original and purchased the 2-year protection plan. I did have to replace that kindle and it was indeed fast and easy. I called the number, went through the steps with the very nice and patient woman on the other end of the phone, and is less than 15 minutes I had a brand new Kindle sent off to me which I received the next day. I packed the old broken kindle into the box and shipped it back with the provided mailing label. No trouble at all. When my children had each saved enough allowance to purchase their own Kindle 6 inch, I ponied up the $25 for the insurance. I generally feel that "extended warranty" type deals are a scam and there are two many "exceptions" that keep the warranty from being honored, but I haven't found that to be true with Amazon and Square Trade. It brakes, they replace. 2 years of peace of mind for $25. I think it's a good deal.

Wow, best twenty five dollars I've ever spent!I'm one of those people whose perpetually reading on her Kindle. I carry it everywhere, use the camera, browse the net, shop and most importantly, I READ! I probably average 3-4 books a week. So, when after a year I finally dropped my pink kindle one too many times, shattering the screen, I was momentarily devastated.That all changed when I remembered purchasing the two year warranty at the time I registered my device and much to my husband's chagrin, I might add. It was literally as simple as making a phone call, answering about five questions and then awaiting your brand new (not refurbished) device and packaging to easily send back your broken device.Truly no hassle and a great bargain considering I have another year and two more replacements before my plan expires at which time I'll be ready for a newer model anyway.I will never buy an electronic without buying a warranty from this company to add on. Outstanding service!

I questioned whether or not to get the Protection Plan from SquareTrade but as I was buying things I did add a Plan to each of the Kindle Fires I purchased. I am glad I did! This has been, by far, the best purchase I have made. I had to call to replace my youngest sons Fire, which he got for Christmas, and the whole process from the call to when I got the item was fast and accurate. You call, give them the information linked to the Amazon account you are using, they process the claim, email you and you print out and return the item you have, in our are the Fire. Then you get the replacement within a few days. The agents were super helpful and I was not on hold for very long anytime I called. We have had to replace my sons Fire twice now and each time was a great experience. I will be using SquareTrade again for protection.
