Vanghon Cast Iron Round Skillet/Frying Pan 24 cm / 9.45 inch

Season this heavy skillet properly and you’ll have a pan for life. I used it this weekend to prepare a few steaks and it worked great. The iron heats evenly and doesn’t stick at all. The handle is cast iron too so after searing you can finish your steak in the oven, or do the reverse searing method and slow cook your steak first. Just make sure you have oven mitts! It works for pancakes too. The weight is hefty but not too heavy to be impractical.

Really nice heavy duty pan- high quality, have just received it and have already put it to good use cooking eggs & frying bacon. Yum! Can see it lasting for years

Very sticky pan the worst cast iron pan I ever owned.

Washed it before first use and when it came to cleaning it.... it went rusty straight away... very disappointing

Takes seasoning well, unfortunately it doesn't make it particularly non stick. May be after a year of use? I don't think the pebbly surface helps.

Finally tested it on the glass ceramic hob . Before I only used it on the gas hob. Great pan for steaks and bacon and all meats, especially for from hob to oven. Well suitable even for pancakes as does not stick with sufficient amount of oil but for fried eggs I prefer to stick to a non-stick LOL

My only critisum is the finish on the cooking area of the pan, it is rough, catches the spatular when frying eggs. Great pan otherwise, ring to oven, very easy to season. has the feel of a good solid pan that will last a lifetime
