20th Century Glass Candle Holders: Roaring '20s, Depression Era, & Modern Collectible Candle Holders (Schiffer Book for Collectors)

This does have a nice layout but doesn't offer that many companies to check the products against. I does give a general feel for the candlesticks for the eras. Would look for other books but this one I would still buy

Unfortunately, most of the candleholders that are in this reference book have been identified in more details with history in the excellent three-volume "The Glass Candlestick Book" guides by Tom Felt/Rich & Elaine Stoer. There are many candleholders in this particular book, but those that were not identified have been, and those identified are done in greater detail in the aforementioned books. There are some IDs on foreign-made holders. Although there was some effort put into the making of the book by Ms. Riggs and Ms. Pendergrass, I cannot discount it as being trash-worthy, so it's worth more than 1 star. Both authors of this book have also done several other books on glass candlestick holders which I have not read.One word: obsolete. 2 of 5 Stars.
