Excellent durability
The tip that came with my cane was standard, but only lasted about a month before it started wearing down. Not this thing! I've had this tip for nearly 2 months now and it looks the same as when I got it. That doesn't sound like much time, but I don't use my cane as intended (I use it more like a crutch). My hip sort of drops when I walk, so my cane supports much of my weight when walking. That was too much on my other cane tip but it isn't a problem for this one. This thing looks like it's made out of tire rubber! It hasn't marked any flooring yet, though I haven't used it on indoor hardwood. I also grips well, and perfectly fits my 16mm (5/8") cane.

The best cane tip, not bulky when walking. Read review on how to get cane tip to slide on.
Great cane tip! It takes away all the bulkiness from a standard cane tip and I feel so much better using my cane. It feels like I am walking much more natural with it. I will say this, in order to install it on a standard cane, you will need to add some lubricant to the bottom of the cane tip. I added some liquid hand soap to the bottom of my can was able to slide the new Vibram tip on just fine. Once it's on, it will set up and will not come off. With out the soap, it will not slide on and will not fit at all.

Perfect Fit for Umbrella Tip
I'm guilty of using my golf Umbrella as a light-weight cane when standing around at bus stops or during yard duty on student break/lunch. The tip of my umbrella was getting tore up. The first tip kept coming off so I got a real cane tip. Of the two different ones I bought, this one worked the best. Put a little 2-part epoxy to make it permanent. Friction fit was pretty tight but I wanted to be extra sure it wasn't going anywhere. Without the VIbram branding it almost looks like it came factory installed from UV-blocker itself.

Amazing longevity!
Updated review: it’s inexpensive, lasts for ever compared to all other replacement tips I’ve tried. It’s light and is stable in very cold circumstances.A couple of points to add after having used the same tip for 5 months now. Firstly I’ma large man that relies wholly on my cane for mobility, so I use it from getting out of bed to climbing back into bed. I was literally walking my old replacement tips to that embedded washer in two to three weeks. At a cost $6 for two of the ones I’ve tried, simply my cost was only a dollar per week. This replacement is 5 months old and as you can see in the photos, it’s far from needing replacement. In fact, I’ve replaced the cane and kept the tip (it was no easier to put on a second time either) I know this is a relatively inexpensive item but honestly the best part is the insignificant weight at the end of my cane. Anyone that is reliant on a cane can tell you every little nuance about it. But the best part is the confidence I have in the product’s Ability to maintain traction in sub-zero conditions. Short of clear ice, this thing grabs the ground. Again this may sound ridiculous but if you walk several times a day and you find yourself tense throughout your back, shoulders, hands, down your arms, and well everywhere really, the ability to relax any amount and not get exhausted from an inferior tip, then you know what I’m talking about! This tip is probably cheaper over the duration than the budget tip I was using before. I didn’t know if it would fit my cane because the tip is an 1/8” to small. But I used hand sanitizer to lubricant it. It was a chore to get on but well worth The effort. It is absolutely stable and the composition predictably is lasting beyond my initial guess.

Not universal tip.
Doesn't fit many trekking poles-the inside of this rubber tip is very shallow. Didn't work for me.

Impressive Quality
This is the best rubber cane tip that I've found. Very grippy and very sturdy. Vibram will outlast ordinary rubber cane tips probably ten to one. I'm really pleased and have ordered several more, just in case Amazon stops selling them (which seems to happen whenever I find a product that I really like!)I just wish these cane tips came in more sizes. I have a number of canes in different diameters. This tip says it's for a 5/8" diameter cane....but it's a really tight fit. It would certainly fit snugly on a 1/2" cane too. I'd like to outfit all of my canes with a Vibram tip, but this tip is too small to fit most of the canes in my collection.

This will never fit any 1 inch diameter cane.
Just by looking at it in person, it will not fit any 1 inch diameter cane. Will fit a 1/2 inch, might be a tight fit on a 3/4 but impossible for a full inch.
