I am just back from kayaking and caught 10 stripers on one of these soft plastic baits. They work, especially when the stripers are feeding. I love that it is a single hook which makes it easy to catch and release and every fish was hooked in a way that extraction was almost instant. I caught them casting and I caught them trolling. After I caught about 5 fish, the plastic lure would sometimes slide a bit down and I would put it back up to the top. The only other thing is that once in a while, a bluefish will snap off the tail. But that has been rare. Elias - you are the only reason I bought a fishing kayak and now, I have a hobby, in my own backyard, that costs me almost nothing and gives me endless adventures. Can't thank you enough and keep teaching us. We need to learn.

It's true this bait looks and swims really nicely, BUT, as another reviewer said: the plastic IS REALLY SOFT and once you rig it you better leave it on the jig head because they break and split open very easily. So with that being said you better hook it in correctly the first time because once you break a hole through it it won't hold up if you make another hole. I've used these twice. Yesterday I had to cut a chunk off because it ripped down the middle. No fish caught but bait action is really good. When I cut it to rig it again, it still worked fine. Just looked more like a small minnow.

Ok these swim shads are killer for stripers and other predatory fish here in the northeast. Elias did a great job with the design and material used for this mold and I will be using these as long as I can still cast a line. I was going to wait a week or so before reviewing to catch some more fish on these but from using some from last season that were a gift from a family member I had to buy more and I don't doubt that they will perform flawless as always. Will be reviewing the other swim bait products as well. Good job Elias!

Feel like they will be fairly durable. I plan to use these on 1/2 oz. jig heads as swim baits for surf casting in the Gulf of Mexico. Should cast a mile with that setup.

Great action in the water, first time using nailed 4 stripers on just a standard retrieve. No fancy jigging twitching or anything else.Pros: soft body gives great action, actually works, reasonable pricingCon: soft body makes bodies tough to use over and over, but super glue fixes this

These shads are awesome for jigging or trolling and hold up surprisingly well as long as you use double barbed jigheads or super glue. They have much better action than the storms and tsunamis I used to use. The one in the pic caught about 20 fish and is still going strong

Have used them to catch some nice fish. Out fished some other anglers with them on a charter boat. After the trip they all bought some

Wonderful bait to have in the arsenal. Prefect kick and the color is killer at night.
