South Shore Axess 5-Shelf Narrow Bookcase, Blueberry

I needed a mid-width bookshelf to fill a spot on my study wall and this was the perfect "in between" size. It almost takes longer to unpack the thing than to assemble. It is well packaged, and all parts were present and in good shape. In fact, there were some extras of the small parts (dowels and shelf clips). The bookshelf seems sturdy enough and is stable when loaded with books, although there is hardware included to secure it to the wall. It is particle board covered with a thin laminate, but at these prices you are not going to get real wood. Does the job I need.

I needed a narrower shelf for some of my books to lighten the load on my other 2 bookshelves, but space was an issue I couldn't get another shelf like the others cause they are larger, this one is perfect for the space I put it in. It was easy to put together the instructions were clear everything was pretty straightforward. Shelf was mostly undamaged, couple small knicks but not really visible and one small tear on back panel thing but my books will cover it so it's okay, and it's possible I did it myself when opening it. Had really thick foam on top and bottom, do wish it was on sides too as I think that's how it traveled on its side but it was pretty sturdy as I saw a shoe print on it so someone at some point stepped on it but it had no damage from that. Holds a decent amount of books much more than I expected.

I have a small home and needed extra storage in my bathroom. This fit perfectly. The instructions were easy to follow. Hardware provided was adequate and there were a few extras. I found cute baskets to fit the shelves. Definitely impressed.

This shelf was fairly easy to put together by myself. Some pieces did arrive damaged but I reached out to the manufacturer and they replaced them at no charge. They did take a bit longer to come in the mail than I had hoped, but I think it’s great that they are willing to replace parts at no cost to the customer - even if you break it during the assembly process. (that wasn’t the case for me, but I saw that as an option).I will say that this shelf isn’t that sturdy though. Whenever I walk by I push the outside pieces together to make sure they don’t come apart. I don’t trust it completely. And I wish the pegs weren’t plastic. But the shelf was inexpensive and holds everything I’ve needed it to. And looks pretty alright! So I rate it 4/5 stars.

Perfect book and basket storage shelves for bedroom or bathroom. I put it together in an evening. (You will need a screwdriver and small hammer). I like the quality and sturdiness for the price. Also liked that it was packaged well. Great find!

I like the adjustable shelves and the overall look. But the instructions weren't clear at times.

If you are considering the purchase of the 5 Shelf's Narrow Bookshelf, please allow me to share my review with you. The delivery was on time, and the box was heavy. Unfortunately, the side panels were broken.I went to their web page under 'Replacement Parts,' and I filled out their form for the broken pieces. It was straightforward, and I received the replacements very fast.ASSEMBLY. Assembly instructions and diagrams were easy. You must be careful with the nailing on the cardboard on the back since you can miss and chip in the wood. I did, I requested another shelf. I will give an update later for the update.QUALITY. This bookcase is constructed of pressed particle board with a white laminate covering. It is stable, has secure shelving, and it looks good.I hope this was helpful.

It could have been 5 star but the only problem was the top part material both side were an error both sides were a rough brown part with no white coat on one side! I believed it was a mistake. I could have return it back but my husband already spent some time putting it together when he realized that 1 part of the material was an error so we just leave it as it is! It easier to just paint that upper part a white paint than disassemble everything again and put them back on the box! We can live with that simple error it can always be corrected and can be fix no big deal! Sturdy enough doesn't bend at all, can hold heavy books and fit perfectly on our daughter's room!

Horrible. It would have been easier to assemble if the pieces were the right dimensions. I needed a bookcase ASAP for work and thought a cheap one could do it. I read the reviews and knew this one wasn’t the best option, but I bought it regardless, thinking I would be able to use every shelf of the bookcase. That was my bare minimum requirement. I was wrong.

I’ve had this for a couple months now at least, still looks great, I’ve adjusted the shelving so that the lower levels have more space for my larger books. We had tons of books scattered all around the house (mostly the basement) and after some house cleaning I decided to grab this bookshelf. It holds all of the books perfectly, and it’s given me an excuse to start reading and curating my own library collection / sorting through unwanted junk. The back piece has a noticeable fold line which is the ONLY thing I would’ve changed but it’s nowhere near a dealbreaker since the books will cover most of it from view anyway. Still no signs of shelves buckling or bending which was the only thing I was worried about when looking for bookshelves, but I also made sure not to overdo it with the weight.

Unfortunately I can't give a good review.As you can see in the pictures some major fabrication errors were made.In the first picture you can see that the holes are carved unevenly, very sad error. In the second picture I show that the overall furniture is leveled, which proves that my house is not the problem. Third picture you can see the black finish already pealed. Forth picture: a little dent. The forth picture is just the product after I was done with it. This furniture is worth no more than 30$ CAD in this state or even lower.The conclusion is: if you have access to an IKEA than I'd recommend going there instead. They offer much better quality and lower prices. (I have no association with IKEA what so ever.)It's the last time I buy furniture on Amazon.

The pictures on the assembly instructions were hilarious and it was easy to build- And we are the kind of people to shed tears trying to assemble IKEA products. Very nice looking shelf. There was one dent on one of the boards but not noticeable to make a fuss over. Match my office perfectly and fits a long stuck in very nice looking shelf.
