Everything as promised!
SELLER REVIEW (high marks)Get the bad out the way.-it had a fresh install of Win 10 but, didn't have a all the drivers installed and was/is not a stable install out of the box. This means that unlike buying a new computer that has every little software issue ironed out from the in house software team, instead you get a fresh install with possible bugs that make it a little clunky that you have to suss out yourself. It appears that the OS install was done off line because it had no updates. As soon as we got it on a network, things like the trackpad not working fully became fully functional after it finished its hour long self updating and multiple restarts. Again, this is pretty normal if you know about computers, but if you are a casual user like my wife, it may appear like "something is wrong" which it is not.So not not ready out of the box but that was no biggie.-battery discharging a little quick, but its a used biz laptop and within acceptable. (battery is always the biggest wild card so you can't really hold anyone's feet to the fire on battery life unless they advertise "new battery" which this listing didn't and no one does really)The good:-came as advertised! This may seem like a small thing, but buying used computers on Amazon can be hit or miss and often i've seen one computer shown in the listing photos and a different one received in the reviews. So, to have what we got be exactly what was listed is a big deal and we were delighted, so thank you seller!!!-The charger was orginal, not after market junk, yay!-Clean and good packing!PRODUCT REVEIWWhat can I say. This is arguably the best compact laptop on the market right now. And if you know about computers you understand why I say that and how deep that comment goes.If you are a casual user, I'll say this: This computer is very upgradeable. It is likely the most futureproof used labtop to date. That being said, WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR IS UPGRADEABILITY. So, to get your money's worth you need to know how to install RAM and hard drives. If you take this to a shop in 2-4 to have them do it, they will charge you so much money, it wont have been worth it to get this computer (or any thinkpads really). You will be better off putting your $750 (after tax) towards something else more consumer centric. Not to say this thing is a wimp, it will be a rockstar two years from now, as it is today, with lots of pep and snappy performance. And lastly, I'll add this is not a laptop for laps. This has a powerful processor and vents on the bottom that HAVE to have clearance. It gets hot fast, and if you put it on a pillow or blanket on your lap, it will lock up or burn up. They make snappy compact consumer oriented laptops that are meant to be used while curled up on the couch with vents blocked, this is not that. At our house we a chromebook for that, and nothing beats it.Again, so happy with the purchase and thank you seller for delivering on what was promised!

Mediocre and buggy.
I can't help but feel like Lenovo is slowly forgetting how to make laptops, which is a sentiment I've heard echoed a lot.Good stuff:- Decent CPU, which runs cool and quiet most of the time. Low fan noise even under heavy load, though it does get fairly hot while gaming or browsing the hellish modern web.- Decent battery life. I like the two-battery thing.- The lid opens all the way and doesn't stop at some arbitrarily small angle like many laptops, which is nice for using it while reclining.- The keyboard feels good, and has nice consistent action.- The trackpoint and trackpad both work well.- It has a full-size SD slot, a headphone jack, and a real Ethernet port, which are all very nice to have.- It's fairly easy to get at the internals, and the bottom panel is designed so the screws can't fall out and get lost, which I quite like. the RAM is upgradable (I went up to 16GB for only $20), and the storage can be configured for either SATA or NVMe SSDs.- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work great.Gripes:- The overall build quality is very flimsy. Basic features, like rubber bumpers to keep the screen from chafing against the keyboard, are totally absent, and it's starting to get permanently scuffed after only a couple of weeks of use.- The click-buttons for the trackpoint are extremely flimsy and jam easily, which is really annoying.- The keyboard layout is weird. PrintSc is on the bottom row (what?) and things like PgUp/PgDn and Home/End are in weird locations. There's also no Fn key to disable the trackpad, which is annoying on a laptop with a trackpoint.- The display is really dim. I'm used to Toughbooks, so my impression may be a little skewed, but I don't think I've ever had this much trouble with a display backlight before. I constantly try to turn it up just under normal room light, only to discover it's already at maximum, and it's very frustrating. Only get one of these if you do most of your computing in the dark.- The keyboard backlight is WAY too bright, which only makes the dim display even more annoying. The keyboard's dim setting feels like it's brighter than the display's maximum, and I can't imagine ever wanting to use the keyboard's bright setting. It's so annoying to have the keyboard backlight on that I just don't ever use it, making me wonder why I bothered getting one with a backlit keyboard in the first place.- There are only two full-size (type-A) USB ports, which is just too few for my everyday use. I've had to go find a USB hub for the very first time in my life just to plug in all the stuff I need. The USB ports are also on either side of the HDMI port for some reason, making it easier than it should be to try to plug USB devices into the HDMI port in the dark.- The webcam is abysmal. I know, they all are, but I still think it bears mentioning. Why haven't laptop webcams advanced at all in over a decade? The built-in shutter is a nice touch, though.- There are a lot of weird firmware bugs associated with the Thunderbolt 3 controller and USB-C charging. I won't go into the boring details here, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting the thing to correctly recognize when it is and is not plugged into its charger, which is a problem I've never had before, and I also had to go through the process of updating the Thunderbolt controller's firmware just to keep it from slowly self-destructing. (The update didn't fix the charger issue, alas.)- It has some kind of touch digitizer for some reason. I have no idea what's going on here - a touch screen was not an advertised feature, and the screen is matte and does not respond to finger touches - but the OS nevertheless detects an "ELAN Touchscreen" that often emits spurious mouse events from no apparent source, making the pointer jump around erratically. It was unusable until I figured out how to disable the device (on the OS side - you can't turn it off in the BIOS).Overall, I'm left looking longingly over my shoulder at my ancient T500. Sure, the CPUs and screens are better now, but the keyboards, interface port selections, and overall build quality of the older Thinkpads are just so much better than this nonsense. Between the drastically lower material quality and massive increase in design flaws and firmware bugs, I can't recommend a T480 to anyone. I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars and calling that generous.

Great product.
I like that I got exactly what I saw on the website and pristine condition. What I did not like was when I went to pay at the Amazon checkout, they ask me if I want to use the points in my credit card tour payment. I was delighted that I could have that option, so I proceed with what I tough was to redeem my points and charge the difference to my card. To my surprise, I received a notice from my credit card that a large purchase transaction took effect, and also the alarm for when I reach an amount I place in my card to check transactions. It turns out that they return the points to my card, there for the full charge was charged to my card, it took about 2 hours to straighten things out with Amazon and the credit card. I still did not get a full explanation from Amazon as to why the points were refunded back to my credit card, I will be more careful if they offer for me to use rewards points to use it tour the purchase price.

Vendedor no cumplió su oferta de producto
La laptop Lenovo Thinkpad que compré debía tener teclado retro iluminado y no tiene, también llegó con un cargador Dell, no son compatibles. Por lo expuesto solicito reembolso.

The product works
The product is good, but it has some issues, the keyboard is not so soling and looks like fragile, the battery life is not good enough, and more little details, but works.

superb machine
Loved the high resolution (2k) and the processor, even outdated, gave me the power to run tools needed for web development (typescript heavy usage, react, node, etc).Loved the ability to add more ram, second battery.Battery was dead after 1 month and replaced it but I still give it 5 stars.
