Bought several of these for a flat we rent out to protect the wallpaper around the switch. Put one around a switch easily as there was plenty of wire in the back box to be able manoeuvre the switch surround around it without undoing the wires. When tightening the two screws which hold the light switch to the back box, you have to ensure that the cover is level and in the right position. The plastic is a good quality and does not look cheap, nor is there any sharp edges.I put another around a shower spur which was outside a bathroom. this was a lot harder as there was no spare wire, so the switch wiring had to be photographed, completely removed and then replaced. I did bodge it up as did not notice that the cover had dropped out of position when I tightened the fastening screws and I broke the LED light in the switch when I screwed it back in., so had to buy another shower switch. All in all good surround which should save your wall/wall covering, just take care when you finally tighten up the screws. I imagine some light fittings may only have small fastening screws which may not be long enough to reach the back box when this has been added, so see how much leeway your switch has by loosening the screws before you order. These screws can be bought easily if necessary.

Great product! Simple but really effective. In our case it covered up the imperfections created by removing an old light switch perfectly. I would definitely recommend it!
