Genuine BW Bundeswehr German Army Issued Surplus Winter Caps Hat Olive Drab GRADE 1

I bought one of these on a market 30 years ago but it was a bit too small and I've been looking for a larger size ever since. Now I've finally got one!What I like about most it is it's flexibility. I also have a ushanka which is great in sub zero temperatures, but I find that it's too warm for most UK weather and my head gets sweaty if going for a walk or cycling. The ushanka is also too big to fit in a pocket if it gets too much.This cap, being cotton and wool, allows the head to breathe so I don't sweat, I can roll it and stuff it in a pocket and has a good range of options to match the weather.Another advantage over the ushanka is this has a small peak to keep rain, snow and winter sun out of your eyes.Very practical, very good value, if I ever lose it I'd buy another ASAP. Thoroughly recommended.

This is very well made and should last for a good while. Its comfortable to wear too

Very good cap with various ways of wearing it,my head is 58cm people said to get a size bigger so got a 60cm its ok but perhaps should have got 59cm but perhaps not a lot in it ? still good and warm

Very tidy bit of kit, warm and tough should last year's of hard wear. Have been wearing mine out in the coldest of the Welsh nights with added rain and wind. Can't fault it quick spray to waterproof and it's all angles covered. Very comfy love the two different types of flaps unknown to me upon purchasing. DO ! Buy at least two sizes larger than requirements as my 1st order has now been given to my niece 57cm had to order a 59cm for myself but well worth it. Now had to order 1for my farther as well lol. Great buy, just mind the sizes.

My own fault - I ordered a bit too small (and with the very reasonable price it'd cost more to return it). But it'll be perfect as an emergency winter hat for my kid in a couple of years.. Other than that it's a fine hat, a little on the thin side but then it's for going under helmets/hoods so that's to be expected.

Useful, warm outdoor hat. Goes well with German army surplus Parker. Relatively small fitting.
