I recommend these durable rubber and simulated leather cold weather waterproof boots.
I've owned many pairs of hiking boots, cold weather boots, and military issued combat boots, ranging from LL Bean duck boots to Doc Martens and others from various stores over the years with which I've hiked the San Jacinto mountains and the desert of Palm Springs, California. If you've ever owned a pair of Doc Martens then you know how the soles are basically flat as a board from heel to toe, which can be brutal on your calves and shins when walking a lot. As you can see in the photo of these arctiv8 Men's Nortiv8 161202-M Insulated Waterproof Work Snow Boots the soles are curved at the heel and toe which will make walking more natural and comfortable instead of painful.I wear size 9 wide. I'm wearing the boots right with a pair of thick socks and the boots fit comfortably snug and quite warm with the Thinsulate lining. Right out of the box the boots were pre-laced and came with a spare pair of laces, a definite plus. The boots are made of durable rubber lowers and man-made simulated leather uppers around the laces. I'm Vegan, so no leather was THE deciding factor in buying these boots. I have no doubt my feet will remain dry and warm in cold wet weather. The soles are hard rubber with sharp edges and multiple angles of tread which appear as if they will have no problem providing traction in wet or even snow/icy conditions. The black boots are very black. I think I would have preferred the dark grey/black version to the all black, but that's trivial. At the reasonable price I paid of $45 there's a real chance I'll order a second pair. I recommend these boots.

Soles falling off after a little over a month
Got these about a month ago for my job in irrigation. Had another pair of the arctiv8 over winter that lasted about six months before they became not waterproof. But ive only had this pair a little over a month and the soles are already coming apart and many of the seams are starting to crumble. Theyre definitely not waterproof anymore and about to not have soles. Otherwise they fit great, easy to take on and off and pretty comfortable. Good prodict if they would have lasted longer

Good boot for my needs at a good price.
Well we just had a the cyclobne bomb storm here on the east coast and these boots arrived just in time to test them out in the snow. I put them on, laced them up and went about clearing the snow from my driveway and 4 others. My feet remained warm and dry the whole time, no leaks. So first time out they were great. I don't plan on them a daily boots and got them specifically as a snow shoe to be used as needed. So I don't know if I'll have some of the problems other reviewers encountered, I hope not, as they fit good, have good traction and keep my feet warm and dry.

My husband works for the power company and I'm always ...
My husband works for the power company and I'm always on the lookout for durable shoes. He loves these because they're light but feel well insulated. I've been given strict instructions not to order anything that is made with metal or anything that conducts electricity and these seem to have passed his preferability tests.

Stay away from water!
After having these for a while, I am now able to review the boots.1st, the price is great; There's no denying that.2nd, the size is true to size. Here's the bad part. These shoes are not waterproof. They are not well constructed. They are not too comfortable.Overall, I'd pass on these unless they were under $25.

I was a bit skeptical about these, but...
Iʻm almost 81, healthy in all the good ways, but a bit squeaky trying to bend over to put on shoes or boots.Pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for me to get these on over a pair of merino wool winter socks.I recently moved to Anchorage, AK after spending half my life in Hawaii and mostly wearing flip flops. So, the concept of snow boots was a bit daunting. At the beginning of last Winter I bought some $100 boots at Cabelaʻs. By the end of the winter, believe it or not, the sole at the heel was worn down to the black part of the sole. These, at the price point, was a real gamble. They seemed to be really stiff out of the box, but after spending all day in these, and NOT requiring any "breaking in", Iʻm impressed. Comfortable. The right size based on my lifelong shoe size. And enough room for the winter socks.Iʻll let you know in the Spring how these work out. Iʻm happy thus far.

For the price....it's hard to beat
The boots arrived on time and in good condition. I ordered my regular size and I think the boots fit a little big, but would be perfect with heavier socks. I've worn them for a couple of football games in 40 degree temps and they'll be perfect in regards to keeping my feet comfortable. To be fair, I wasn't looking to buy a $100+ pair of insulated hiking boots, I wanted an affordable pair of boots that I could use for football season. These boots met my needs on comfort, warmth, and affordability. The material feels cheaper than more expensive boots, but I expect that for what I paid. Would I buy these if I was working construction all day in wet conditions, no. Will they work for an occasional user or light use 1-2 times per week, absolutely. These boots were better than expected for the price, but they will not replace a high end boot used for daily work. I gave them 4 stars because they look a little bit like cheaper boots, but honestly for the money, they're a 5 star item.
