Oslo Notebook 192 Ruled Pages High Risk Red A5

Upon first opening the notebook something seemed a bit odd, as it wouldn't properly open. After further inspection I noticed that a dozen pages in the center were sown diagonally across the paper. After little surgery with my pocket knife I removed the errant binding so now the book would fold open. No big deal I guess as I could write around the holes. Also this paper is not fountain pen friendly as it bleeds thru and feathers badly. If you are a ballpoint pen or pencil user this will not matter to you. I feel there are better options in the Apica or Kokuyo line of notebooks.

Love the bright color. The paper is a bit thin, suitable only for ballpoint pens and pencils. Gel pens, fountain pens will feather and bleed through. I like the little pocket on the back. The strap was a bit loose when I got it but no biggie.

I like to keep a small notebook in my pocket for jotting down quick thoughts - but when I need to develop them, but before I begin to type, I like to write them down in an open-ended exploration. I don't really like to use looseleaf paper for that, because, even if they aren't ready for "publication" I like to keep a record of things I've thought. This notebook is a good solution, and just the right size.I've been keeping notebooks for years, and I sometimes like to dip into what I wrote a long time ago. Some of the older notebooks have faded or are falling apart. I expect this one won't. It's big enough to give me some room while I write - the pages are just over 5" x 8" - but isn't bulky, and fits easily into my bag along with my books and laptop and other gear. Unlike some other notebooks it won't get bent out of shape as a result of jostling around with my stuff. The Neutroni notebooks have a faux-leather vinyl cover, that's solid and durable, and the pages within are well-bound on acid-free paper. It's easy to write on, and the lines are just right. It even smells like fresh paper. There's a pocket in the back flap for holding miscellaneous papers.It would be useful as a diary or journal - for those who, like me, prefer solid colors over kitschy designs - or for research or writing notes or even as a free-form reminder book. I was offered this one - the light green or "kiwi" model - by the manufacturer for the purpose of writing an honest review, and I am honestly impressed by Neutroni, whose notebooks compare favorably to similar sized Moleskine journals, which also happen to be a bit more expensive. One thing this doesn't have is a dedicated space for writing down a name and address, with an "If found return to ..." notice. It'd be easy enough to write that down on the inner flap anyhow.

A friend first turned me on to these notebooks solely because they were a cheap alternative to Moleskine. It wasn't until I got one for myself that I realized how great of quality that these really are. Now I almost exclusively use the Neutroni sketchbooks, this size and the larger version, for taking notes and drawing. The paper quality is most surprising for the price, I can use my ink pens and they will not bleed through. I am overall extremely impressed with this notebook, and suggest it for anyone; from the average student to the top architect, these notebooks are top quality.

It's a shame how many of our thoughts and notes are recorded through the use of computers or phones. The therapeutic act of handwriting on a clean blank sheet of paper seems to have been lost, but with these notebooks, it can be rediscovered. They are the perfect size to carry wherever you need them, so that no thought has to go forgotten again. The clean design and crisp pages make writing or drawing an experience to look forward to in any situation.

Neutroni notebooks have been very useful to draw on them, write text or just take notes, it has a lot of sheets with the perfect thickness! I used them for my college subjects. I recommended to anyone, because of its bright and very cool colors it can fit to everyone! (and because of the hard cover I don't have to worry about carrying it on my bag without having wrinkled pages)
