Like several other buyers of this product, who reviewed it on other forums, I fully concur that there should be at least one more heat setting, a MEDIUM setting. The operating manual warns not to leave the setting on High for a long period of time without defining what that is in minutes and hours. I always initially start on the High setting to jump start the heating process; then, I switch to the only other available setting after the unit heats up. The leather foot covering is not designed to enclose your entire foot, leaving the back of your feet and part of both ankles exposed. So, to keep the heat from escaping, I wrap a towel around the back of my feet and my ankles and over the top and sides of my feet, covering the opening at the front of the foot warmer in the process. Now, the Theracove Foot Warmer works like it should.
