Good screen. Instructions for sliding door.
This roll is enough for one screen door or two medium windows. It looks good, feels strong, and is easy to cut and work with. I don't mind because thankfully the days of metal slivers are over, and this is an easy and inexpensive upgrade. I chose the gray, but honestly can't tell the difference between it and black, either from outside or inside.I just ordered a 25 ft. roll to complete a few more windows and another sliding door. This was my first but came out great.Instructions for rescreening a sliding patio doorTo remove door from the track, first loosen the screws that hold its wheels on. They may be on top, bottom, or both, so look for a little cutout with a phillips head screw, possibly on the side. There's probably two total. Unscrew almost all the way, then push up on the top and out on the bottom to dislodge from track. You may have to run a flat screwdriver along bottom to help push the wheels up and off the track.I found laying it on carpet or grass works best as it doesn't move around. Lay it flat and starting in a corner, pry up and remove the rubber spline that holds the old screen in. I like to reuse this if possible, but to my surprise there *was* no spline to remove. Luckily I had ordered some just in case, so I tore out the old screen and used a utility knife to clean out the groove. Remove any latching mechanism from the screen as well. Lay the new screen over the door with at least 1 inch extra all around, and tape down four corners for now.I now own the pizza-cutter looking tool, but previously used things like a knitting needle, popsicle stick, ballpoint pen, you get the idea. Anything thin (but not sharp) to help push the screen and spline into the groove. With the tool, they recommend using it first to form the screen into the groove, then laying in the spline. I skip that step and do both at once. Just make sure it's kept somewhat taut and not saggy. You can always reposition and start over, but that's seldom necessary. Cut off excess spline and use a pen in the corners, since tool can't do them. Recheck that spline is seated all around, then run a sharp utility knife or box cutter around the excess screening. Keep any remnants because you never know what you might need them for :) Reattach any latch, put it back on the track top first, and tighten the wheel screws. Easy peasy.

Screen still hanging on
It's stronger than I thought it would be, it's easy to use and did most of the windows in my camper

Easy to follow directions made installation that much easier
I ordered this item to replace a screen at my mothers that had been cut open (by vandals? Mischievous kids? We just don't know). It was not a huge cut and nothing else was damaged, but the HOA sent her a letter demanding that it be fixed after one of their walk around inspections. This screen is long and somewhat thin and the local hardware store wanted an enormous amount of money to order a replacement. I brought the screen home, ordered this item and had it fixed within ten minutes time. I ordered the spline separately and already had a rolling tool in my possession (I almost threw it away at one point, since I hadn't used it in over 10 years, but luckily I held on to it, as it is indispensable for this job). So far it has held up well and there have been no further mishaps. Fingers crossed that remains the case, but if not I know where to go to order another replacement screen at a very reasonable cost.

Easy to Use at an Affordable Price
This is easy to use and comes in a size that works for many popular window sizes. I like it better than aluminum screen which isn't forgiving if you mess up when installing the spline. In addition to my primary purpose of replacing a torn window screen, I used some of the remaining screen to put in the bottom of flower pots and planters that have drainage holes to help keep soil in the pot and a piece as a strainer for leftover paint. I also used some as a base on a wooden open bird feeder I built - keeps seeds dry by letting the water drain away when it rains.

Very Happy With Results
If you bought the frames, I would recommend these for the actual screens. I was able to do 2 windows (check your sizes) off of one roll, so that was nice. The material is noticeably strong, and while not as "see through" as the "clear advantage" version of this product that I got for my master room, it is more than satisfactory on all the other windows I set these up at. I have no worries these will last years and years, very happy. Highly Recommend!

Well worth the money and effort.
This is a wonderful screen replacement. Even though it was a little bit of work installing it was well worth it. It does look dark when you’re first installing, but when it is all done and put back in the sliding door it looks great and you can’t tell looking towards the outside that it is darker. I think it even helps keep it a little cooler in the house as well.

Great for pool net
I bought this to replace the screen on my pool net frames. I didn’t want to pay $10 or more for a new net because just the fibers had broken. I pulled all of the old fibers out of the net, rolled out this screen, and drew the outline on the new screen with a marker. I cut it out, then used hot glue to glue it onto the screen. I trimmed it and I have an excellent new net. And now I have a whole ROLL of new “net” material in case my kids break it again! Win!!

Need to order another roll
This was enough to cover 2 screen door windows. Unfortunately the grandkids pushed against it one time and out it ripped. Not sure if it is the material or user error. Will try another product that is more rigid.
