Like a Tactical Riot Vest
This is hardcore level of motorcycle protection; it's thick 2in" rubber + plastic all around the chest, stomach, back, and rib area. It's heavy like a ballistic vest maybe 10lbs. You can take a baseball bat to this thing and not feel it. The only vulnerabilities are the top chest/collarbone cavity area hollowed out for an optional Leatt neck brace and the lack of tricep & elbow protection.

Has saved my bacon several times
I have taken some spills on the trail, and this chest protector has been a lifesaver (literally). A couple protruding limbs on a log straight to the chest were blocked. Also, fell on my back really hard during a spill and it took the brunt of the fall. My wife is happy, so I am I. Not uncomfortable to wear, and glad I purchased it. Have usually ridden with it over my shirt or hoodie. But could probably fit underneath if desired. Also have worn with a backpack no problem.

Comfortable and seems very protective
Comfortable and seems very protective. My o my complaint is that the back of the chest protector can get kinda bunched up when you put it on and make it sit funny

Failed Strap, Completely Useless Now
Bought this Sept 2021, used once, then took time off for winter. Went back to ride this Feb, put the harness on and this rubber piece just completely failed. I can't even rig up the protector to be functional again. I am posting these pics and reviews in hopes that manufacturer will send me a replacement. Problem is, you cant even just swap the connection, the top half is molded into the vest! It was great on the first ride, but this $5.00 fix just ruined a $200 vest!!!!!

If you want protection, this is it. Buy it.
Excellent rib protection, I didnโt mind the little extra weight, quality product would definitely buy again, you wonโt find a better roost protector.

Very uncomfortable and heavy - DO NOT BUY!
The new Airframe chest protector by Fox may look cool but it is extremely uncomfortable and unnecessarily heavy in comparison to other brands. The hard exterior shell has no give and the padding on the inside is not form fitting at all. This chest protector cannot be worn under jerseys without either ripping your jersey or looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame. I recommend going with a Leatt chest protector - they are also CE rated and are 10X more comfortable, lighter and functional.
