Quality Better Than OEM!
The media could not be loaded. This charger works BETTER than the charger that came with my plugin hybrid. I am using it for my VOLVO XC90 Recharge. The original charging cord that came with the car had a “slight twist” feature that disconnected the 240-volt plug to attach the 120-volt plug. Every once in a while the factory cable would trip the GFCI breaker that protects the circuit. This new charger does not trip the GFCI breaker at all, not even in pouring rain. I believe it works better because it is a sealed construction, there are no components that lightly twist apart. The charge looks great, charges better than OEM, the plug easily plugs in (the OEM was always battle plugging in and trying to pull out the plug when done). This charger unplugs easily. I like the charging indicator, it doesn’t get hot, and the plug that goes into the car is a nice snug fit, which is great for charging in heavy rain, there is nothing to worry about. When done Charging, the charger coils up nice and I can put it in a small bag in the car. If you are staying at an Air B&B, and the house has a regular 120-volt plug outside, just plug in the 120-volt adapter that comes with the charger, No Problem! I highly recommend this EV charger.

Worked fine for Chevy Volt!
The Factory portable EVSE (110v AC) unit was beginning to show it's age like loose connections when you touch the SAE J1772 plug on the car's side. Moreover, getting this EVSE unit primarily was the capability to charge the vehicle with 16A 3.68KW NEMA6-20 Plug on a daily basis & an Adapter for NEMA 5-15 (for 110v AC) would allow me to have both the options of charging our Chevy Volt using either 220v or 110v with the included adapter and this educated purchase made that happen perfectly. The unit is of decent quality, Granted the NEMA6-20 plug end isn't sealed & molded and is exactly as shown on the product picture, but since in my case the whole contraption is semi-permanently installed inside our garage that plug being not water tight sealed really does not matter. What matters most for me is that the SAE J1772 plug that you connect on the car's side is no longer loose & the charge power delivery cable is just as good or even better than the factory cable.Bottom-line: Our Chevy Volt (2014) now charges under 3hrs 45mins while the factory portable EVSE used to take 8-12 hours (Essentially was an overnight solution) I am happy that now I can run errands in few hours rather than using my gas guzzler after my daily commute using the Chevy volt. For the asking price I do not think you can get any cheaper option to get 220v based EVSE unit so I set my expectations accordingly and I am happy to report so far it has proved to just fine for the asking price.Rating the unit with five decent stars!

Failed after 18 months
Initially this was a great little charger but ultimately is failed after being out in some light rain (mist really). One would expect a car charger, which is inherently an outdoor activity, would be a least mildly weather resistant.I contacted their support team and after a long wait they replied that because it was 6 months out of warranty they could not help but offered a 20% coupon. Obviously I am not going to double down. Because of this I cannot recommend the product.

Excellent Charging Interface Cable
I bought this charging cable to use with a Honda Clarity. It fits perfectly and works well. I have been only using it for a couple of weeks but so far it works great. The instructions that came with the unit seem to be a bit off but they were adequate. When using this cable on 240 volt the very small digital display indicates the amount of current being pulled by the car and the elapsed time; however, the total time of charging is lost when the charging is complete and the display only says "Full". When charging with 120v (using the adapter) the display shows the current to be about the same as with the 240v. Apparently the charging is regulated to about 16 amp. This is good since it will charge on 120v at about twice the time as on 240v. (I was expecting it to be about 4 times as long, as I thought the current might drop to 1/2 the 240v value.) The display gives the same information as it does on 240v, which includes the battery temperature. However, when charging is complete it then displays "Waiting". I am guessing that charging on 120v doesn't quite completely charge the battery.Make sure you are using a dedicated breaker on 120v or 240v rated at 20 amp. The bulk of the charging will use 15 to 16 amp and only drops off towards the very end of the charging period. The cable has excellent flexibility and appears to be a quality item. The cable hook and the 120v adapter are both built well and make this a more complete system all in the same box.

Versatile and cost effective charger for your first EV.
After pricing out all the options on Amazon, this seemed like the best charger and a month in, it has worked flawlessly. Used both the standard and 240 options and the 240 is where this unit stands out. Having both options available with a 'dongle' like adapter makes this something you can throw in your trunk or wall mount for a more permanent install. The small (very small) monochromatic display shows temp, amperage and duration/KWH used. This last of the three screens is great but it only displays while actively charging. Once fully charged, the memory resets and shows "waiting".The cord is substantial and remains soft and pliable even in a cold Chicago garage in January. The plastics for the handle and base unit are both decent quality. You could probably drop both a few times but wouldn't press your luck.Setup was a breeze and packaging was fine. Overall, would buy again but hopefully won't need to.
