Solar Saddle Pool Solar Cover Holder

As others have said, kind of expensive for the materials, but this is still much cheaper than a roller and actually probably more durable and easier.I've put it in the "back" of the pool so I don't even see it from the house or deck.On installation:As another reviewer said, it wasn't possible to install it at the best spacing because there is less space under the pool rails the farther from where they attach to the pool. I installed one less holder, but it's ok as it is. The other reviewer trimmed some of them, which sounds a good idea.On usage:I'm tall (over 6'3) so it's easy for me to roll the cover on the holder or put it back into place. My wife would have a harder time doing it my herself. But you can always get some help, if you have a pool, right? It should be doable while in the pool as you're slightly higher than on the ground.

I use these on our 27' round pool. With the hooks I am able to take the solar cover on and off by myself as long as I am in the pool. I am on my second season with them and ended up going back and buying a second set so I could have the hooks closer together. I had a dog that like to jump up between the hooks and pull the cover down.Yes these are just plastic pvc pipes with brackets and plastic pins. yes I could have probably built this myself with parts from the plumbing department at menards but I didn't feel like doing that.

Product is easy to install. Works perfectly to hold solar cover off the ground. Did need to modify mounting bracket holes slightly on the install but since you are drilling holes this was not difficult or unexpected.Our 15’x30’ pool really could use 7 hooks for the cover. Wish there was an option for a larger order or to purchase single hooks as each user will have different preferences.

Finally got around to installing after it was sitting in the original box unopened.Instructions are pretty simple if you don’t have a vinyl rail pool with texture under the top rail. Bolts barely fit all the way through the top rail and on to the bracket. My order was also missing the the rubber end covers so the pvc doesn’t fill with water. It’s a little frustrating that you pay more for a product but will end up with missing parts and limited instructions. If I could do it again I would build my own with pvc from the hardware store

I ordered these hooks to help keep the cover from being thrown on the deck or ground. Turns out not only has it helped keep it up off the ground and deck it has made my life so much easier taking the cover off and putting it back on!!! I can take off and put back on a 24” pool cover by myself because of this thing in a matter of minutes!!! If you have an above ground pool trust me and buy one!! I cannot say anything bad about it! I would suggest one thing for installing it on a round pool. That would be to install the first and last hook closer to the ones beside of it to help keep the cover from falling to the ground. When I go to pull the cover off the pool to lay of the hooks the sides tend to be too short to lay on the hooks on the end, but the middle fits great. If I didn’t have to drill more holes in the railing I’d move both end hooks in closer to keep the cover from touching the ground. Other than that, it was so worth the money! Everyone needs these!!

I thought this was something that clipped onto the pool edge somehow... but it doesn't. It requires screwing brackets onto the pool edge, and came with the flimsiest plastic pieces to hold the hooks on... 2 broke almost right away... solar covers are heavy, and you have to tug them a bit to get back onto the pool... I bought wooden dowel rods, hopefully it holds better. Still kind of junk for the price.

We read the reviews and weren't sure what to expect. This product works great. It was easy to install. We have a 28ft. round pool. We spaced it every 5 ft along the backside of the pool. The cover is a breeze to take on an off. We accordion fold it. It works best to have 2 people taking it off.

Cheap quality for the price. Product is just curved pvc pipe hung from plastic brackets with plastic pins. The only thing metal are the screws. The pre-drilled holes were too small for the plastic pins, so they needed to be drilled out again. Other than that frustration, they were easy to install, and do seem to hold up the solar blanket. However, due to the cheap quality I'm not expecting them to last too long. Way over priced for what you get.
