does what i wanted it to do
I bought this specifically to install the ring doorbell 2 as I have a brick exterior and no one to help me drill holes into brick so I had to come up with another way to install this next to the front door. BTW I specifically wanted what the graphic shows (the one with the brick wall and says Exterior Weather Mounting Tape/Extra Strong) but what was sent to me is the one called Permanent Outdoor Mounting Tape with the wood graphic. Maybe they are the same thing and they just changed the name but if that's the case, they should have updated their pictures as it's a little misleading, hence the one star reduction. Other than that, although I've only had the doorbell up for a few days, it was very easy to use and it doesn't look like it's drooping or coming loose or anything close to that. I personally had no problem peeling off the red protective film but I can see how it could be a problem if you have no nails or patience, but once you get a little corner going, it peels off easily. Because my brick is not 100% flush, I had to double up the tape for half of the doorbell and doubling up was no problem at all - it sticks very well to itself and I never feared it coming loose. Also, I did use both wedges that come with the doorbell and while normally you would screw the wedges to the brick wall with 2 nails, I just taped those together with some black tape and then used this mounting tape to attach everything to the wall. I'm having second thoughts about the ring doorbell itself (the motion settings are a joke) but not with this tape, it did exactly what it said it would do and could not have been easier to use.

Do not us to hang Ring video cameras on outside of your house!
I ordered what was pictured for the sale item but what I got is in the photo I've attached. I'm left to believe it's all the same just different packaging. I attempted to use this on the siding of my house (also pictured) to hang my Ring Stick Up Battery Cam. I read the reviews and the description of this tape and wanted to give it a shot. It lasted for almost 24hours ONLY. I came out the house to see my Ring Camera on the ground cracked. So this definitely does not hold 15lbs as the Ring Camera weighs less than 2 pounds with the batter installed (I put it on my food scale to be sure of the weight before putting it on the side of my house). My Ring Camera is now cracked but thankfully still works so I am left to use it as a tabletop camera instead of hanging it. I didn't want to have to put holes on the outside of my house to install the cameras I wanted but now I'm thinking that's what I'll have to do. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE SCOTCH EXTERIOR ADHESIVE 15lb FOR ANYTHING OVER 1 POUND!

Will work where glue won't
I needed to put up some vinyl very light weight shutters on my brick house. THe multiple screws that came with the shutters weemed over-kill, plus I would need a special tool to drill into the brick/motor. So, I opted to try outdoor Gorilla glue and it did not work. Then I tried this. I put pieces on the hinge and although there was only a small edge to attach the shutter to the brick it was enough. I then added some masking tape to hold it while it set. You do have to hold it for a bit to let it set and then it's good to go and you can let go. You also need to check after a few minutes to see if a corner has popped up. It seems to be working and although there a little bit of tape you can see on the side it's barely noticeable. Now the con. Getting the red strip off the tape is nerve-wracking. I finally got a pair of tweezers to catch the red and start the peel. Even though I tried different methods to get the red plastic strip off with my fingernails it just wouldn't work. I did end up disregarding their directions and taking the red strip off then putting it on the shutter. Maybe it's the nature of the product but be prepared for frustration in that area. Maybe they should consider putting a lip on the red so you have something to grab instead of having to pick and pick at it, and/or cutting the tape in smaller sections, than to have it on a roll.

Look no further!
I needed to hang christmas lights around our backyard, and I really couldn't drill through the concrete walls. I bought these, and guess what, the lights stayed in place! In fact, the lights stayed there all through the year. Haha! It is pretty impressive because like I had mentioned, I did not take down my lights, but they stayed on despite the excruciating heat we've had, and even through the hurricane-like winds. I use this just about anywhere. I used them to put up sneeze guards around my students' desks, to create a greenhouse for my plants, and I am about to use them to put up cameras in our backyard!

Excellent Exterior Tape
This tape is hands down the best outdoor add-on for do-it-your-self( beats duct tape). I kid you not(poor English) there is nothing or any weather this tape can not handle. I have taped headlamps on a heavy metal address sign that has lasted for over 2 years through a hail and straight line wind storm. Tom terrific tape has lasted a 2 week frost and ice cover and 106 degree weather (in the shade). I have used this tape on solar light caps that have come off due to heat and pots in the garden. I highly recommend this tape for most any job specifically for outdoors.

Wouldn't recomend
I was trying to stick up a security camera (well under the tapes weight limit - both the one mentioned in the description and on the package - what's up with that?) to a brick wall. Brick is hard to stick to, so I wasn't that surprised that the tape failed. However, it was also very easy to remove from the plastic camera mount. So, I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience with it not sticking to anything and being way too easy to remove (just a little flicking got it peeling up).

Very Pleased With This Product
I installed a dash cam in my car and it's affixed inside of the windshield with a double sided tape. I can't remember how many times my dash cam has fallen off from the tape. It only happened when heat builds up in my car.I saw this product, purchased it, used it to replace the adhesive tape on my dash cam. I am so happy that this product delivered to my expectations. My dash cam has not come off during the hottest weather.I am very pleased with this product.
