Mel and Jimmy!
Jimmy was born into a criminal family and was the heir apparent until Mel, his girlfriend, broke up with him as she didn’t like the man he was becoming. She told him that he needed to get away from his family and forge his own path and it was working well until a murder in his hometown has brought him home to investigate 10 years later. When Mel’s friend disappears she heads back to her hometown for answers where she not only runs into Jimmy but his family as well. The attraction between them is stronger than ever but will they be able to find the truth before someone decides to silence them permanently?

A great romanitc thriller read!
PJ Adams has delivered another great romantic thriller/suspense read with Stolen. We are kept on the edge throughout the whole book with all of the twists and turns of the story. Mel and Jimmy are two people looking for the same missing person but for different reasons and they have a history with each other.I am hoping that we get to see more from different section eight members in future books

You Can't Choose Your Family
Stolen is a romantic suspense novel that deals with organized crime, human trafficking, family secrets and revenge. Estranged brothers Jimmy and Glenn Lazenby are reunited after 10 years when Jimmy returns home to search for a missing teen. Jimmy is a government operative who was recruited by his ex-girlfriend, Mel Connor's, father. When he is sent in to try to find the teen he discovers she is Mel's friend and Mel is investigating the disappearance too. Meeting again after 10 years they both realize their attraction and feelings haven't changed. The storyline was well developed and compelling. The reader is pulled into the investigation and feels Mel's anxiety and fear for her friend. The magnetic attraction between Mel and Jimmy is palpable. Every aspect of the disappearance and search for the missing girl is explored.Character development was good. It's easy to like Mel and Jimmy while hoping they give in to the feelings they share. Glenn is well developed and just plain evil. The lesser characters are also fleshed out. There are quite a few editing issues. Lazenby is made plural by adding "ies" i.e. Lazenbies. The plural should be Lazenbys or Lazenby's depending on the context. There are also misused words and other editing errors.I recommend the book for those who like romatic thrillers. The book is an easy read and the story keeps the reader involved.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good start for first in series!
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This was my first read by PJ Adams. I loved the story, you never knew when someone was lying or telling the truth or lying and really telling the truth. There were lots of twists in this book that made me second guess who was the actual villain.Mel was one brave but stupid woman. Yes, I understood that she needed to find her friend but my goodness she should learn when she is way out if her depth!Jimmy is the alpha male, vigilante, above the law because he pretty much is the law type of guy. But he had a bad habit of second guessing himself and not being too sure about his decisions. The one thing that took the most away from the book, for me, was the choppy sentences. Now I'm definitely not the grammar police but the sentences stopping in the middle and picking up on the next one were really hard for me to get into.
