For the cat who needs options! This helped with litterbox guarding.
Okay, so from my previous reviews, I was jazzed that I won the pissing war that was happening between my two cats (I'm still singing the praises of my new Bissel cleaner, for the most part). However, there were a handful of times that my tort peed in front of my calico to reassert herself, even if she had free use of the boxes. What to do? I finally listened to Jackson Galaxy and got another litterbox set up in a second location, even if that spot is right by my front door (sorry, guests!). Like others have said, the manufacturer seemed to have listened to us and made instructions for the opening to go on either side (but you have to deduce for yourself which instructions go with which side), and some of the picture detail is downright microscopic, so get used to some squinting. However, once you got both the picture and the process down in your head, installation is about 30 minutes. It looks like actual furniture, and not the weird fake brown-black wood composite that is really popular on Amazon and Wayfair right now. The handles are gold metal, and the hinges and magnetic closures on the doors are sturdy.I will say that the wood composite for the cupboard itself is lightweight and therefore flimsy, but that's not surprising, given the price point. It takes repeated uses from both cats just fine, and it would easily hold a chonkier cat if needed. Just bear in mind that it holds only a standard litter box, so there's no room for other litter accoutrements besides maybe a scooper. An adult cat can get into and out of the box while standing, but they can't get around the sides of the box. It's about as tall as a nightstand, so don't expect this to have a lot of clearance for taller breeds. Added bonus I wasn't anticipating: having the enclosure off the floor makes it way easier to vacuum up litter!

Roomy and looks decent
I wasn't having much luck with the tidy cats breeze system with our one chubbier, older cat. She tends to have a lot of liquid waste and the flimsy breeze pad was no match. She is also a little messy probably as it's harder for her to get in and out of the litter boxes. I wanted something that would help mask the mess and a bit of the smell and could potentially fit in with the décor. I came across this one and it seemed to fit the bill. After a quick delivery, the first one was damaged, but it was taken care of and a new one was shipped (save the box in case!) Afterwards, I received the replacement (also a quick delivery)I took other reviewers' suggestions on assembly into consideration. I think they updated the directions, because now there are 2 separate diagrams depending upon the orientation of which side you would like the entry/exit hole. The weird thing is that they didn't label them "left" or "right" this time. So, it was still confusing to figure out which directions to go by. My suggestion, which is what I did, was just look at the pieces and compare it to an image of the finished product. A little logic goes a long way! Keep in mind, that all of the curved pieces will be facing down towards the bottom and all of the sides with stickers will be facing/on the inside (except the bottom piece and the metal holes will be facing down/outwards for the legs.) After figuring out the orientation, it was an easy assembly. The only tool needed is a Phillips screwdriver. The most difficult thing was attaching the hinges with the tiny screws. As another reviewer mentioned, the legs have a protective plastic cap over the screws, so those need to be removed as well (this should have been in the instructions to begin with.)Overall, looks nice., and it's not too high off the ground. The color that I purchased was the mocha walnut and it was hard to tell what the rest of the color was when I ordered it. It is actually a deep grey color with walnut-stained doors (please see the photo of the paint samples in comparison- they appear lighter in the photo than irl.) I did also take the reviews on leakage into consideration and tried to find a way to prevent that from happening. My cat hasn't used it yet, so I may update this review. Keeping fingers crossed.

A big improvement to our litterbox situation
I've had this for a month now and I loooooove it. With the litterbox I purchased (the Vanness CP2 Large Cat Pan) there's extra room inside. I can store the scoop, litter jug, and litter freshener in there, so ALL cat poop related objects are out of sight until they need to be directly addressed. The cat took to it like a fish to water, very excited to have a "cupboard" she's allowed to be in. Because she can't come flying out of it at 20398432mph like her old box, it's significantly reduced the amount of litter strewn around the house at any given time, and it keeps stink contained whenever she decides she's too lazy to cover what she's done.My only beef is that even put together by someone who's really good at flat pack furniture assembly (my roommate) it's a little on the less-sturdy-seeming side. There are slim cracks in the bottom that do leak errant litter, and they don't seem to be an intentional part of the design. I wouldn't trust this to hold a lot of weight inside or on top. BUT, overall, it's great! Game changer!

PRODUCT ARRIVES BROKEN. NOT WORTH COST.
Do not buy this product. I am VERY VERY disappointed. Afternoon paying £100 For this product it arrived not only damaged in several places but had MULTIPLE cracks. The holes for assembling came split and there were scratches over the doors. It looks like it was assembled by primary school children. I am fuming. VERY DISAPPOINTED. VERY DISSATISFIED.

Damaged, scratched and not worth the money
The media could not be loaded. Scratched and damaged on arrival. The wood finish was shoddy, unfinished and scratched on arrival. On taking out the front two doors the finish was so poor I stopped unpacking and applied for a return. Terribly disappointing and not at all what I expected from a product which cost over £130. What a let down!

Low quality screws and fittings. It’s not stable.
Unfortunate the screws and fittings do not hold this together in one piece. If you nudge it or move it, it falls apart. Therefore it’s very poor value for money.

Billiger, instabieler Schrott
