Great product, much less mess than cardboard
My cat Magellan was leaving cardboard scraps all over from the old scratcher and something had to change.... Enter this mat, sans cardboard! (Also worth noting that his only bad habit of pulling up rug pieces came from having a carpeted scratcher as a kitten so I was not looking for that material either.)He's a big boy (17 pounder) and lounges comfortably on it even though I got the smaller size (15.7"x 23.6"). I've had it for a couple weeks. It's holding up well and I don't see pieces of it on the floor or in my bed. The felt on the cat decoration is separating a bit but that's not important to me. I did take away a star for lifting up sometimes as he scratches--the mat is rubber backed but it is not stiff enough to stay down as one piece. Would I recommend this mat? YES, ABSOLUTELY. Great improvement. Magellan is happy.

My cats love this!
The second I set it down, my "problem scratcher" tore into it. He scratched and rolled and really enjoyed it. I have six cats, and they all seem to like it a lot. A couple of them have even made a game out of trying to rip the little kitten patch off of it (it's been a week, and they haven't managed it yet! ), and one just likes to groom it, lol. The size of the mat is good as well. Definitely worth the money.

I thought it would be more rigid than it is
I ordered this because I thought my cats could use it laying flat on the floor- but it pulls upward when they try to scratch on it- so they don't use it. They pulled apart the little cat emblem on it the first day and basically pretty much left it alone after that. I don't want to attach it to a chair or sofa, as I feel that would imply it was OK for them to scratch furniture- which I do NOT want. My cats are vigorous scratchers, and this just hasn't worked for them. So, I have one cat that lays on it occasionally, but that's about it.

Cat LOVES this mat. It's saved my walls from her claws!
I bought this for my cat so she could have something else to scratch other than the corners of our walls. It has worked out really well and she LOVES this. I didn't even have to put catnip on it to entice her! She has been clawing at this mat for about a month now and it is still in great condition (except for the white kitty on the mat). I think I'm going to purchase another one for her!

Flips up
Like some have said before, I had to get something other than the corrugated cardboard, as it left pieces all over the house, although this mat has the correct material, when my cat went to use it, it flips up, even when I tried to tape it to the floor. Therefore, she’s not liking it much. Any suggestions?

Poory made. Returned.
The back side of this mat had lots of flaws/pits, which caused pieces of the plastic backing to shed on the floor (and this is without even using the mat - see the photos). The mat was also very flimsy, and as you can see in the photo, it would not lay flat. Thankfully, I was able to easily return it and get my money back. Purchase was made end of Jan. 2020.

Cats like it. Does not stay flat
It is incorrectly advertised as not moving around when scratched. It's thin and lightweight enough that when scratched it lifts up and rolls up. However cats do like scratching it.

Poor Quality
This may just be a fluke damaged item, but I can not recommend this rug. Would not lay flat, white backing coming off and leaving white specks on everything. Not worth $21.00.

The description is misleading
Had to return it - the description is misleading. You don't get two scratching post wraps, you get one and a stupid little toy.

Funciona más no es una solución total
Los primero días si les llama la atención pero lo van olvidando y regresan un poco a la costumbre de los muebles
