NRScVest Lifejacket (PFD)-Lime-XS/M

Good for Kayaking
This is a great vest for when you are in a craft that requires paddling. I have 2 Kayaks on is a sit in and the other is a fishing Yak which is a sit on top. I had issues with paddling with my old vest, the inside of my arms would rub on the side making my skin red and soar. This vest is the solution to the problem. It works great and very comfortable to have on. The netting on the back is great for being able to lean back in the seat. I would recommend you read the pros and cons that come with this vest so that you know the cons. For kayaking I love it and I am on mostly smaller lakes so the cons do not worry me. I added a picture of the pros and cons that came with this vest. But I will say again it worked great for me when it comes to paddling the YAK.

Prime customers BEWARE
Even though this life vest is listed as a Prime item (which should have free shipping and free returns), I am being charged $15 for a return label because it was shipped by a "third party seller". I need to return it because the back of vest has a very bulky and rigid panel that extends halfway down my back, which would not work with the higher seat back of my kayak seat. I wish I never ordered it, and I am frustrated by the "Prime" misrepresentation on the part of Amazon and the seller.

Great for chubby kayakers!
I am a chubby kayaker. I don't like getting chaffed under my arms. I do not want to carry a container of corn starch on my kayak. So this lifejacket is perfect. I wear a 44H sized bra and this lifejacket adjusts to fit them just fine. Hubs has a beer gut and he is comfy too. Who knows, maybe since we are kayaking more, we will downsize someday. lol. It's constructed well. Our little tackle boxes do not fit in the front pockets, but that is not a deal breaker. Phones will fit and that is all we need. These are far better than the gas cannister ones we got that exploded when i capsized and scared the crap out of me. So there ya go.

Like the NRS Chinook but with a radio pocket
Love my NRS Chinook, but when going on salty rivers and bays, there's no good place for a radio. Was looking at a Bahia Tour, but this looked like the same base as the Chinook which fit well. This is for kayak fishing so a high back and lots of pockets is what you want, and you can use on any boat where you want to wear a PFD. Good mobility for arms (paddling, fishing) and is really like a fishing vest that will save your life. Not cumbersome at all in my experience. So what I really wanted was a Chinook with a radio pocket. That's exactly how it turned out. Fits great, puts everything where I want it - safety knife, radio, still have pockets for small tackle boxes. What the Chinook has that this does not: hard nylon (plastic) D-rings as attachment points instead of cord loops. Not expecting that to be an issue as you wouldn't hang anything load bearing anyway. Just a keeper for your scissors, a whistle, a small flashlight, tether your radio (!). Chinook's 2 largest pockets are larger than the largest pockets on this, but again I'm not expecting that to be an issue. What this has that the Chinook lacks: reflective patches and trim. Radio-specific pocket (my Chinook I was using one of the large pockets, zipped almost all the way with the antenna sticking out. With the Chinook I found I was constantly unzipping the pocket unintentionally as you bump the antenna. Other than the different pocket configuration, it's the same vest. The Chinook now moves into backup status, stored in the forward hatch. Still a great vest and if I was sticking to lakes and rivers without a radio, I wouldn't have made the switch and would slightly prefer the Chinook.

Best pfd hands down
After a day of wearing it was broken in, good amount of storage but not too much, not bulky and super comfortable. I wear mine for 8+ hours at a time and forget I’m even wearing it

but the size is great for someone with a larger chest
I ordered the red L/XL and am 5'5" 170 lbs woman. It fit perfectly and has so many adjustments on it. There is plenty of strap left over, but the size is great for someone with a larger chest. The girls are not too squished. I love the high back with mesh as it works perfectly in my kayak. Plenty of freedom to paddle. I didn't think I would believe the other reviews that stated they forgot that they were wearing it, but it's true! There are plenty of pockets, if you wish to carry a pocket-sized tackle kit. I do wish it had one waterproof pocket for my phone, but I just use a sandwich bag for my phone and keep it in my vest pocket. I'm so happy with this purchase!

FANTASTIC Lifejacket..love the pockets and hooks for paddle & kayak leashes!
Wish I would have bought a lifejacket like this a LONG time ago, even back when we had the Malibu Competition Ski Boat.So I realize there are different purposes for different lifejackets (and "good looks" are important too when the fashion police come around). ;-)But I bought these because we don't have a Malibu anymore (sold the fancy boat to help my young college students in other ways now) ;-) ...but now we have kayaks. Plus, we love the pockets and all the hooks for paddle and kayak leashes and whistles and such. These are so comfortable for me...and my wife and daughters, too! Each size can cover a very WIDE range of sized people with each size (if that makes sense). :-) For example, I'm 6'-5" and about 300 lbs and we bought 3 of these (2 of the XS/M for my wife and any potential "guest"...and mine is the XL/2XL)...and it fits me great with room to spare...where in other lifejackets I'd struggle like I'm in a tight girdle straight jacket in some lifejackets that were 3XL! In fact, I go so far as to say, that if I would have had this lifejacket back in the day...I would have been able to wear it while driving for youth groups from 8am to 8pm at night...I really like the freedom. So again, I know, probably not for slalom skiing at 40 mph...but it would be just fine for knee boarding, tubing and wakeboarding (would actually be very comfortable on tubes because of where the flotation is positioned high on the back).
