Perfect for the math tutor or math education major...
This book is organized week-by-week, as suggested by the title, which lends itself well to the instructor who may be overstressed with multiple classes or providing new and interesting (to both him/herself and the students). A fun collection of problems that show the different focus and culture of mathematics education in Russia is to those of the U.S. Perfect for middle school and high school freshman and sophomores. Also, this is great material to compare from a math education research standpoint.

This book's set of questions are great. The problems are accessible to most people
This book's set of questions are great. The problems are accessible to most people, yet can also be quite challenging. I love how problems progressively get harder and teach you how to solve certain types of problems by solving easier ones earlier on in the book.

Great to get your kids' brains to work
It's not just math facts. To solve the problems you really have to use your brains and start thinking out of the box. Problems are very interesting, my kids love them.

Excellent exercises for the brain, for kids and parents!
The Math Circle in our neighborhood is completely full so I bought this book to do some fun math problems with the kids (2nd and 6th graders). They both enjoy the problems and even though they are a bit struggling, they haven't given up. It became a whole family effort when us parents, also couldn't solve the problem. It does take parental assistance to explain and guide rather than independent workbook for kids.

Fantastic selection of problems
I've been using this book to supplement an enrichment class for middle school students interested in math competitions and contests and it's been a fantastic resource. The problems are approachable and can be done by students in a variety of classes (little to no formal math background required for most of them) and build on each other over time so students can use what they learned earlier to approach harder problems later in the sequence. Clear solutions to every problem are provided. This is an awesome resource for math teachers, coaches, and tutors.

Magnificent book
The book will be very useful to all who like to get truly problems for the youngest students. The Math Circles in the russian cities are worldwide known, but this book show the problems utilized there. Very good book.

arrived wet
Although it was wrapped in plastic, the book arrived with a wet patch in the bottom left corner.

Must buy for Problem Solving.
Excellent book, essentially a continuation of "Math circles: A Russian experience" by Fomin et al.The price is very steep (an Indian edition would help, just like the aforementioned book is available at a reasonable price), but this book, along with the other one are incomparable for Problem Solving.
