Does it's job, I think better than OE!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this dual port valve for my 2012 Audi TT RS, with a 2.5T inline five. The sound it makes is fantastic. It's really only audible under certain circumstances. For instance, under low boost such as lightly on the throttle with low load, it makes almost no noise. But once I start pushing around 5 PSI it starts becoming audible. By the time I'm at my peak boost, 18 PSI, it's very audible. It sounds great in my opinion. It really helps add to the fun racecar sounds, but shouldn't be loud enough to piss off neighbors.I have noticed my boost gauge fluctuates a bit more now, and that my turbo sounds a hair different at higher RPM's. I do NOT believe this is a boost leak. I believe the opposite, I believe this valve is dealing better than the leak prone/issue prone OEM diverter valve. This is allowing my gauge sensor to read more accurately, as well as allowing my turbo to high higher speeds.Let's talk response. The valve noticeably reacts faster than OEM. Same with not hearing it at very low boost levels, you'll only notice this under certain circumstances. Firstly, if you have an auto/DSG transmission, you'll only potentially notice this when doing on-off-on throttle inputs with higher loads. On a manual, you'll definitely feel it between shifts on aggressive driving as this is a similar scenario. You will also hear compared to OEM, especially with the audible blow off noise, just how much faster this valve will open and close. Truly an improvement. Despite it venting some pressure to atmosphere, the speed of this valve still makes your throttle response improved as well as removing some spool/lag time between shifts on a manual. There are some down sides, but it's mostly dependant on who you are as a person. With the VW/Audi diverter valves, and maybe some others, they will often vent at seemingly random times. This is done to help alleviate extra boost pressure. Namely, you were accelerating in boost, but lightly, and let off to even out your pace. The OEM diverter valve programming of the ECU tells the diverter valve to open, and stay open for something like 1-3 seconds, to remove excess pressure. With a valve such as this, you will hear that more accentuated as this has the atmosphere release. But, it's also a bit quieter as usually you aren't making that much pressure under these scenarios. I personally don't find it bothersome, but some do.The only other con is difficulty to install. This isn't against Turbosmart, but more dependant on the design of your car. I really should have had some swivel sockets to make installation easier. I'd highly recommend for a VW/Audi installation. I made due without though. Also, they instructions said to install it a particular orientation, but that was physically impossible given how the valve aligns (three mounting holes, one slightly offset of a perfect triangle.) Regardless, that's how it fit and that makes sense give the orientation of the Turbosmart electrical connector and my OEM DV's connector. All in all, boost seems to hold better. Throttle response and turbo spool/lag times are greatly improved. It has made my car feel a hair quicker, likely from holding pressure more efficiently. It sounds fantastic, without being intrusive in my opinion. I think it's a great buy. My last recommendation is add a small, thin layer of clean engine oil to the o-rings when installing. It's not fully required, but helps prolong the life of rubber o-rings and protect them during installation.

Unfortunately, this is junk
This failed in less than 3000 miles with fault 15015 (OEM Using ODIS) or P003300 (Generic OBD II) with in 3000 miles of install under light driving conditions. Code description is "Turbocharger bypass valve control circuit". I tested the control circuit (Command from the DME) in accordance with the test plan calculated, using ODIS and it was fine. Installed the stock unit and performed readiness code. Fault was eliminated and didn't return. Of course, right out of warranty. Solid piece of junk. Buy something else.

Easy install, fits performance intakes.
Only took me 20 minutes to install, might be longer for you if you’ve got stock intake piping though. The BOV fits my upgraded turbo inlet pipe and ducting perfectly too. Way better than I thought it would actually.Pro Tip: tape your hex key so you don’t scratch the housing on install.

Great fit. Sounds cool

Misfiring
I have gone through 2 of these and they both blew out and stopped working. NOT WORTH IT!get a forged blow off valve instead
