Not for over 50 with spine problems
As a person with spine problems, kyphosis, hyperlordosis, military neck, DDD, osteoarthritis and multiple bulging and past herniated discs in thoracic and lumbar areas, you know, the kind of person whose poor posture/ genes/ jobs have wreaked havoc upon and NEEDS to relearn posture..this book.would put me in a grave. from page one on, just about every stretch and exercise that they suggest is contraindicated for people who have ANY of my problems much less multiple. it seems this book is written for a spine healthy young person .very disappointed . I can't believe how many good reviews this book has.

Excellent posture handbook - clear and concise.
I really can't speak highly enough about this little book. I was fortunate to be able to read a review copy, but now that I have the actual book in hand (I pre-ordered 5 to give to friends and patients), I am even more impressed by the presentation. Descriptions of anatomy and exercises are all clearl explained. The illustrations are fantastic and make this book easy to apply for anyone, with or without medical knowledge or bodywork experience. As a medical acupuncturist, I see patients on a daily basis with complaints of pain due to improper posture and and movement habits that merely reinforce their problems. Now, I'll have another tool to use in my efforts to help all those I see on their road to adopting healthy body mechanics and decreasing their pain. Thank you Lora and Nikki!!

Got taller and pain-free
I found that the exercises in the book are necessary and sufficient to have a pain-free day for me. Exercises are easy, natural, fun, pleasant. But the most important is that they help. I got taller, so I even had to adjust rear view mirror in the car. The undiagnosed muscle pain I suffered for many years dissolves if I do the exercises daily. Many thanks to the authors!

It's Handy........
For the price, this was OK. The authors don't reveal anything we don't already know. But having instructions for the exercises is good. Thanks. Just nothing spectacular.

Clear and concise
Any one with the patience to read can use this clear concise book to improve posture. The drawings are very helpful. The book also contains links to YouTube videos, but I felt that the drawings were sufficiently clear. I also respect and admire the authors for listing possible reasons (such as previous injuries) that a person should not do any one exercise. It is a very useful book, but I would love a live Stretch and Strengthen class based on it even more!

Concise. Powerful. Useful!
A very helpful and to-the-point text with hundreds of illustrations that can help you throughout the day. Includes so many helpful tif-bits and powerful insight of how we as humans operate physically that you are bound to learn from this, even if you have an educational background in this. Wish I had this book years ago. Would’ve helped me out big time. Excellent gift for both young and elderly, this can always help prevent and/or aid in pain relief if you use this guide right. Highly suggest for anyone who texts on their phone, sits at a desk, commutes to work, has kids or pets, or is a couch potato. Basically all of us Americans.

Nice little book
Nice little book. It has a lot of easy exercises to do and the instructions are easy to understand. I think this book would be helpful to all ages, even the elderly. I've already done maybe 10 of the exercises...just don't over do it if

Wonderfully easy to use read and use
I like that the authors not only explained proper posture, but explicitly show how to add exercises used to reduce and eliminate pains. I have given 6 copies to friends and use their advice.

A Very Useful Exercise/Posture Book! :-)
I am really enjoying this book! As a person who sits at a PC for long periods at times, I KNOW that exercises to improve posture, health, productivity... are essential. But finding a book that provides easy to understand/implement exercises for the chair-bound PC types isn't easy.I like the way the material in this book is presented, including exercises geared to: At-Home, At-Work, On The Go....with easy to follow instructions and diagrams too. Ones that I know I would actually use, again and again. If you are looking for a way to improve your posture, health and life in general with a friendly, easy to follow guide, check this one out. I actually purchased this to use with my colleagues. As their head of unit, and they are more or less computer-bound, I like to remind them of various exercises for their posture. I need it too. Simple exercises. Manageable.
